  1. This is problematic:

Fear driven suspicion destroys trust, the basis of all additive human interaction (civilization)… a serious problem. In that world we are all ‘lone wolves’. However:

The solution is clearly *not* blind trust. Subtractive human interaction is a real thing, and presently a *more* serious problem.

Never trust, and always trust, are not viable options. The only way forward requires that you actually know who people are.

Once again, the *truth* (reality) is all that matters, but all we get are perceptions produced by our models (what we currently accept as truth), and most importantly: How we identify truth (really just how we identify lies). Reason, logic, and reasoned debate.

As always, there are no experts to defer to. No short cuts. You have to do your homework.

  2. That’s a very cute exercise. But it conveniently overlooks the fact t hat there are objectively right and wrong positions that people can hold. Those who are objectively wrong (liberals/socialists, maskerbaters, vaxx worshippers, as just a few examples) are not to be trusted, and the inescapable fact is that their mere existence threatens that of anyone who is not in agreement with whatever claptrap they are in thrall of.

So to complete the analogy, those who I will describe in general terms as leftists and busy body authoritarians, are the real witches who will have to be burned at the stake, or we will never have any peace from their intrusive bullshit.

I keep seeing people bemoan the level of division, and how it is being driven by outside forces. Here’s a bit of reality: there need not be any exogenous force driving division, people will find reason for dividing themselves into disparate groups all on their own, without the psyops of fake and ghey clown world government and media propagandists. The essence of this is that some people take up beliefs and ideologies that are objectively wrong. Then they try to impose those on others who have no desire of them, and conflict is thereby guaranteed. That is where we are now, just awaiting the unrestrained violence phase of the irreconcilable disagreements over fundamentals that are clearly visible.

Remember, except for stupid ass 20th and 21st century America imperialism which wages war for fun and profit, historically most wars were fought for disagreements over fundamentals, that couldn’t be resolved in any gentlemanly means. There is always one side that is insistent upon forcing its way on the other. When it finally comes to the point of there being no other option for coexistence, violence becomes the solution, in the form of war.
