What a difference a few weeks makes. I was shown to have a PATCON here and I did not want to do it. I may go into those reasons later but I kept getting nudges for several months and acquiesced. I was strongly encouraged as everything fell into place. Hans’ roundtable on good and evil would transition in my roundtable on local governance. Then Concerned American would transition into how to make a better future. I felt that this would be a positive path forward that would help people build better communities.
As they say “the best laid plans of mice and men can still go wrong”. I was notified today that Concerned American has a scheduling conflict and will not be attending.
So did I misinterpret the intent of the messages or was I supposed to learn from it? I would have no personal gain from this meeting but it is possible that I misinterpreted the message. If I look at this from another perspective, what did I learn?
- We are divided and nothing will change until we have suffered more.
- I need to be more selective with people whom I have given my trust.
- Operational security should now be a major consideration for all of us.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The readers here have been apprised of the PATCON and subsequent events concerning it. What are your thoughts and what have you learned?

Don’t feel bad. You learned something important. The days of coming together have probably ended.
The various divisional factions on the right is paramount to each factions self worth, by that I mean the various factions of the right believe their views are the only True/Pure ones and must be accepted and obeyed and dissent will not be tolerated.
The old saying that Trust is Earned not Given in each of our circles holds even more true now. That’s how the fed infiltrate groups on the right so easily. Just spout whatever nonsense agrees with the groups beliefs and viola you are now inside their OODA Loop limits.
The belief system that various groups of the right will come together at the kinetic start point to defend the FUSA and the Constitution WILL NOT happen until enough of them have been exterminated by our common enemies due to their single minded beliefs in their superiority. Purity of thought must be defended to the end for a lot of them. More groups on the right than I care to believe now operate more like street gangs than patriots…….
As for OpSec, lots of us now plan for possible operations, or at least no shared defensive intelligence or assistance, against other people/groups on the right due to shown lack of trustworthiness.
You are not alone in this mess. Thanks for trying though:)
Trying to organize a gathering of fiercely independent people is harder than herding cats.
It’s both our strength and weakness.
Open discussions about the path forward are important, but those speaking do take risk in doing so. Personal OPSEC is important. Large gatherings does make it difficult to maintain that level of security and /or anonymity.
Currently the interwebs provide a little.of that, but that is getting harder to maintain and may already be done for to many degrees.
I don’t know what the best way to proceed is. I think the path will look different for each individual, family and group. And that may be the best thing since any form of central command structure could be infiltrated as stated by previous replies.
I have plans for my family an our small group. It may be best that everyone makes their own and keep those details to themselves too.
Agreed. It appears the hour is later than I thought.
sorry to read about your trials the last few months
God is still teaching you important lessons
at least you’re listening
I have heard that will be our only safety in the days ahead.
The hour is indeed late. You can see all the pieces of the totalitarian Beast system coming together. Look to God for your protection. That said we have seen entire cities thrown into complete chaos because of the action of only one or two individuals. Make that one or two hundred and .gov is completely paralyzed. YMMV. Hopefully there will be a time for another PATCON but when is up to God.
I disagree about no personal gain, you would have got more people to think/perhaps work on community, which I feel would be personally satisfying as a way to spend ones time and also from the viewpoint the more ready for challenging times the better off everyone is.
Due to distance would not have personally attended but would have been glad to hear what folks have to say.
I realize face to face is the best way to work with others, that said, this and other electronic Algonquin Round Tables do allow a meeting of
ideas/minds.
My idea is perhaps the local folks available that one can work with is have your own little ‘Patcons” locally with friends/neighbors,and,share what you feel are good ideas on the electronic “Patcons”.
Given that I am commenting on this without knowing the intimate details of the situation, but from what little I do know … as usual, I disagree with most of your take on it all.
First, although I believe it is a fool’s errand to look for the masses to rise up and / or organize, or even to do anything more than complain (as I have said many times – those people who would have done such are of previous generations and are mostly long gone). However, I believe it is in fact a worthy effort to plan with and organize with like-minded people. This achieves direct and potential personal & familial benefits. So, yes to “Operational security should now be a major consideration for all of us.”
“We are divided and nothing will change until we have suffered more.” No, this is wrong. It is true that almost no one will do anything at all until and unless their own house is on fire. But people are different now. Even when their own house IS ON FIRE, they will still not take big-picture action; they will do little else other than complain more loudly. Stop looking to the masses for support and salvation.
“I need to be more selective with people whom I have given my trust.” This statement is true, and is the key to all of it. So, YOU made an error, and you respond to your own error by effectively saying “I’ll pick up my marbles and go home, and not come back.” That child-like attitude is self-defeating. I know a number of men around WNC whose lives exemplify integrity, and whose word … you can take to the bank. You didn’t find such people. Or you did not find enough of them. These people do exist. Instead of throwing in the towel on a worthy thing, perhaps a critical thing, try a little harder.
Mark your first point most of us are not ready for PATCON level discussion is good. Repeating it wasn’t necessary as you made your point.
That David figured it out before your informative post and canceled it was NOT taking his “Marbles and going home ” but NOT Wasting his time.
Tempus Fugit TIME is our limiting factor. So complaining that David wisely chooses to cancel PATCON for good reasons is a curious thing.
NOTHING stopping you from gathering all those OUTSTANDING men You know in WNC and doing your own PATCON.
Thank you for your comment. There was positive information for me and this area in scheduling and cancelling the PATCON. I always look to the message that is being shown to me and in this case, I thank the Lord for His help. I guess it is time for another post.

You are correct about my comment about him taking the “marbles home and not coming back.” I misread the post inasmuch I thought I had seen that the event was cancelled and there would be no more such in the future. I apologize for the error. My misunderstanding and my fault.
You, on the other hand, did the exact same thing with my post. Nowhere did I say or imply a complaint about David wisely choosing to cancel PATCON for good reasons (or otherwise). I said nothing about the cancellation at all; I merely spoke on the nature of his error(s). When individuals let you down (or worse) as apparently happened here, cancellation was of course the only reasonable course of action. Since I was erroneously under the impression that he said it was cancelled and that he was not going forward with such in the future – I was suggesting that he pick more trustworthy individuals, because doing such is not hard.
I have done several of my own events equivalent to Patcon, both locally and with extended family North of the border (not as formal or quite as large). They have been both successful and beneficial. It was not hard.
So many poor assumptions but I will just select your last false assumption:
So, YOU made an error, and you respond to your own error by effectively saying “I’ll pick up my marbles and go home, and not come back.” That child-like attitude is self-defeating. I know a number of men around WNC whose lives exemplify integrity, and whose word … you can take to the bank. You didn’t find such people. Or you did not find enough of them. These people do exist. Instead of throwing in the towel on a worthy thing, perhaps a critical thing, try a little harder.

You know nothing about me but you can believe what you want. Show me where I said I was going home and not coming back. As I said, operational security is very important. Whether you are trying to goad me into giving out information in this area or its people, your purpose is clear to me.
I will say no one from WNC was involved in attacking or destroying this effort.
David, I believe God Almighty is leading you where you need to go, satan’s spirit is running wild in this world today. Our own leaders are infected with his spirit as many other world leaders are, I am praying for you and may God Almighty fill you with his Holy Spirit.
Thank you Tom.
As I just said in my reply to Michael above, you are correct about my comment about you taking the “marbles home and not coming back.” I misread the post inasmuch I thought I had seen that the event was cancelled and there would be no more such in the future. I apologize for the error. My misunderstanding and my fault.
“Whether you are trying to goad me into giving out information in this area or its people, your purpose is clear to me.” – Other than contributing a few books to your community center’s library (if I am remembering correctly), I have never had an interest in your locality or your personal efforts, and I have no interest in knowing you personally. In regard to “information in this area ,” I can assure you yours secrets and stashes are safe. It is quite apparent that my purpose is not at all clear to you, so I will help with that. In general, I rarely comment on boards & sites like this; the exception is when I see irrational reasoning being applied (which I often see here). My “purpose” is to call that out, and when I make a mistake, I readily acknowledge it.
With specific regard to ” trying to goad me into giving out information in this area,” it is utter insanity for anyone in your position who runs a site like this – to reply to comments at all, and to care what commenters are thinking. As such, for whatever comes – you deserve what you get.
You should watch Reacher on Prime concerning assumptions. You made an assumption based on what you thought I wrote. Since my comment was very clear, your personal feelings concerning anything I write override your reading comprehension.
To all: this is an excellent example of what not to do in the future (or even now). You need people who will make rational decisions for governance based on what your community requirements, not personal egos.
