   This is why you should be investing in physical gold and silver you hold.
   All previous arguments against barberous relics is out the window. Weimar Republic Activated….

      Please remember friend. Gold and silver are a safe place for excess wealth.

      And requires a trust system to exchange for really valuable things like food and home repairs from the damages economic chaos creates.

      Personally, I traded two Krugerrands I bought years ago for a well drilled, tested and solar pump working as we “speak”.

      I suspect an extra non-grid well is a better deal if things get spicy than two ounces of gold.

      While Walmart is selling dried beans for around a buck a pound and white rice much the same (A LOT of INFLATION on that since last year, I have the receipts).

      Boring stuff follows:

      One-pound dry beans is about 2 to 2.5 cups of dry beans.
      One Cup of dried beans cooked is about 3 cups.
      Most cooked beans provide roughly 200–300 kcal, 14–18 g protein, and 10–19 g fiber per cup,

      One pound white rice is 2 cups dry.
      A cup of dry white rice cooked is 3 cups cooked rice
      One cup of cooked white rice contains approximately 204–205 calories, with 89% carbohydrates, 9% protein, and 2% fat.

      So, to be simple One cup dry beans cooked @ about 50 cents = 600-900 calories and about 45 grams protein (pretty good)

      One cup white rice cooked @ about 50 cents = 600 calories.

      So for today 2 dollars of dry beans and rice is a decent 3K diet base.

      Just add safe water, heat and a pot to cook in.
