Good, they should all be canceled and never approved in any state unless alternative cooling methods are found that don’t require large amounts of lake or reservoir water, or vast amounts of energy from our power plants, which in turn drive up rates for ordinary customers.

Local grassroots efforts can indeed have an effect and protect communities. This is huge win for that community. I keep reading about how these data centers are ruining property values and quality of life for people nearby just because of the sound they create, not to mention the enormous electric and water demands.
I’ve seen videos where there is a constant hum or some other type of noise that is most irritating to humans coming from these places.
I can relate somewhat as I have the Toyota Mega Site not far from me.
Traffic noise during shift change ruins what was once a peaceful countryside.
If I was you I would relocate if you can and if it’s job conducive. Hearing that noise can be annoying and quite inhealthy.
