
We’ve not found a specific list of virtues practiced by our pre-Christian Germanic ancestors. Whatever writings may have been put down have been lost or destroyed, but in reading the Poetic Edda, these virtues are plainly evident. My Christian friends should see parallels with what you’ve been taught since you were a wee bairn. These are the virtues practiced by keepers of The Old Ways. These are also virtues I see practiced by my Christian friends.
Why list them here? A reminder. As our country slides into the ditch, practicing these virtues is important, and recognizing those who don’t perhaps even more so. Surround one’s self with virtuous folk and separate from those who are not. Do this, and one’s religious convictions may not cause conflict with those who differ.
I would except Islam from this because the Koran teaches lying to infidels is acceptable. So, too, Talmudic Judaism.
