America produces MORE than enough petroleum. And we have plenty of refining capacity. These “shortages” are orchestrated via collusion between oil companies and others…like the communist left…in an effort to drive up profits for the companies and create political leverage for the criminal left. Time to start arresting and hanging the colluders. Many of our “problems” exist ONLY because groups of people WANT them to exist for THEIR purposes.
Sorry Dan you mistake opinions for facts.
Refineries are built to process a very specific crude into products. Without a massive amount of time OFFLINE and expensive rebuilding those that process sour crude like the Middle east sends cannot process the sweet light oil America produces.
We produce plenty? Maybe you should google oil imports and exports of America. Not so much.
BTW if you’re into hanging folks maybe you should ask yourself why Trump has announced to the whole world to “Come to America and get your oils, we have plenty” as he authorized the MASSIVE release of America’s Strategic Oil Reserves currently bleeding out to levels not seen since the last oil crisis.
Trump released the oil as a discount on the world market. Once again, the American taxpayer is the patsy wage slave.
Gas here in Western Colorado has gone down $1 in the past two days. I’m really waiting to see what happens in the next month.

Good point, but I’d suggest we all look at our replacement needs for at least a year.
Chevron CEO and Bloomberg point out that synthetic oil production is going to be very limited by Middle Eastern issues. Toyota and such are already notifying dealerships that rationing will be in effect. As oil filters are made in Asia-China our disrupting their oil-natty gas supplies is going to make them also expensive-limited supply.
Wonder how that’s going to affect high milage modern semi-trucks and work trucks that as I understand it are DESIGNED to require synthetic oils.
I suspect not a good thing for those vehicles and our wallets.
Food prices today are mostly last year’s crop. Late summer it’s going to be the current crop with all the issues of fertilizer shortages-prices and fuel prices.
