Congress has the purse strings if I remember my constitution and government functions correctly, not the president. Plenty of blame to go around.

    1. I agree with what the Constitution outlines. DOGE is the best example of how both Congress and the President failed us.

  2. It’s the congress who spends. Ya all gonna vote for them anyway, and they know it.
I am done voting unless Massie runs

    1. And it’s the president who signs the appropriations bills that cross his desk, and who can veto them at will. If congress then overrides the veto, so be it. But vetoing all spending until congress gets the message would mean a shutdown that probably lasted a couple of years, which would be enormously politically unpopular (not that I personally would care, but NPC’s are notoriously fickle and self serving, so a government shutdown pisses them off). Ergo, Trump shares in the blame, as it happened under his leadership.

The solution is the same as it has been for a very long time now: crash and burn.

  3. It’s actually far, far higher than that. But the US has been bankrupt for decades so it is all a corrupt fantasy.
