While I can believe this scenario, I also find it hard to believe Mossad would be so sloppy as to reuse cell phones. This is a major violation of basic spycraft. Even having a cell on you as a operative would be a huge gaffe. And surely they have the capability to reprogram the IMEI and other identifying information embedded in the phone hardware, that means the only other likely possibility is sheer arrogance; as in “yeah, you saw us, now what are you going to do about it?” And I could believe the israelis would do that as well.
OK but if they identified these phones in Utah and they know who they belong to. Were they questioned about actions or motives as for why they were there? Or maybe like the dancing Israeli’s at 9/11 it just don’t matter. Our government is owned and controlled by some higher power?

No one is indispensable or untouchable, and since priorities and objectives are often in a state of flux, yesterday’s golden boy can easily be tomorrow’s burnt offering.
