Water in that volume doesn’t just disappear and I can’t believe that the cooling creates that much evaporative effect. So, where does it all go? Why is there a complete disappearance of that volume? That river shouldn’t have to run dry for that reason. -
This is not new. The Rio Grande at Los Cruces was frequently dry 40 years ago when I worked at White Sands.
