Trump was “shocked?” Well, obviously, Trump was getting bad advice.
So, who appointed Trump’s advisors?

Shocked?!! Okay–the USA literally surrounds Iran with military bases in the Gulf and you are shocked when they strike back at them? This is like a bully cop shocked when someone raises their hands to protect themselves when being beaten down with a night-stick. And if these Gulf States allow US bases inside their own countries–don’t you think Iran would consider them collaborators with the enemy that is attacking them? I think the USA has only gotten a taste of the capability which Iran has in its arsenal to strike back. I think everyone in DC and in the Pentagram is going to be shocked when these Marines off-load in a rally point or base over there–and then the missiles and drone come swarming in spewing cluster munitions. Both Israel and the USA totally underestimated Iran’s ballistic missile and drone capabilities.
This is a gross under-estimation of the “enemy”.
One of the basic tenets of warfare is that the “enemy” gets a vote. And the other side has no say in how the “enemy” votes.
Too bad the idiots waging war on Iran don’t understand this.

I think according to the Word our president would be classified as a fool, worthy of mockery if it were not for his position. He better start desiring conditions of peace ASAP while he still has a chance!!

What can I even say about such abject stupidity? Trump decides to attack a country that is A) known to have a large stockpile of missiles (that have a provable record of actually working well), and has already demonstrated a willingness to use them with previous attacks, B) is led by a fanatical Islamic government (and thereby willing to die themselves, for the glory of war on behalf of allah) and C) had (or so we are to believe) nuclear ambitions, and the wherewithall to actual develop them into weapons systems. Given all the above, Iran was bound to be a pissant and a pushover, dealt with in an afternoon, eh?
Meanwhile, he has managed to piss off every major ally sufficiently that they’ve chosen to leave him to deal entirely with the mess he has now created. Outside or neocons and israel, nobody wanted this war. Now he opened that Pandora’s box, and cannot find anyone willing to assist in closing it back up. Marvelous.
