And GDP INCLUDES government spending…and that sure as hell hasn’t decreased.
Yes, it sure does, a sleight-of-hand I’ve never believed the justification for. I asked Google if taxation is EVER subtracted from GDP. Answer:
“Taxation is not subtracted from Gross Domestic Product when calculating it; rather, taxes on production and imports are added to the total value of goods and services produced, while income taxes are included as part of gross income. GDP measures the total value of output, not the net income remaining after taxes.”
Fertilizer.
Well, it’s all part of the Keynesian bullshit that government spending has to sustain aggregate demand if the market won’t. What a load. So people won’t willingly spend on something, so government STEALS and spends for them. YEAH, that’s a way to run things. But let’s face it…if we were all FREE to choose or not choose everything government forces upon us, 90+% of it all would fail from complete rejection by free consumers.
