What will conscription look like in the fUSA in the coming months?

After seeing the jUSA .mil get immobilized in the ME I would say that conscription/draft would be an utter failure. We seem unable to deport 100 million illegals but FedGov would round up military age men (and women?) for ‘service to jUSA’?? Not happening in my lifetime.
No, it is out of the question. The last time we converted as peace time military into a massive wartime conscription force was 1940-1942. It took 2 years to train-up the semi- trained National Guard and the civilian inductees to go fight that war. Korea and Vietnam were much smaller in scale due to the large forces already maintained in the Cold War and being that they were limited conflicts.
The vast majority of military age youth are completely unfit for service physically and mentally. They are not good raw material to start with, and as you say they will resist service at all costs and who could blame them. The way the world economy is imploding from this crisis, this war will be over before you were able to cut the hair of the first drafted teenager.
Even if we had the ideal standing ground army of 600k or so available and trained like we did in 1991, there is no way to move it to the ME unmolested and keep it in a fight there with Iranian missile dominance over anything within 2000 miles of Iran. Even if you somehow did get an army on the ground there it would have to overcome a million Iranians in mountainous terrain that resembles the difficult terrain of the WW2 Italian Campaign or the Korean War. Both of those were brutal grinds and Iran dwarfs those countries by a considerable amount.
The whole subject of a land campaign in Iran is as absurdly out of the question as is a manned mission to the moon by Zimbabwe.
