It started long ago when the (((CEO))) of Raytheon was given the benediction by Billary to sell their electronics to the Chinamen. Follow the money. If you have children or other loved ones in .mil, pray for them. Bleib ubrig.
This could end up being the required incentive to onshore manufacturing of these defense critical supplies. Only a fool would rely on your enemy for critical supplies.

There is a huge logistic tail for spares in place. From what’s on hand in you local supply plus what’s at depot. I worked F-15 avionics for the great majority of my Air Force career. Worst case we would k-ball what we needed from a designated jet.
What I found in all of our deployments were we were operating for real the jets actually flew better with fewer write ups. They like to fly.
