Iran is using anamorphic ground paintings to deceive US and Israeli attacks. Look closely at this video released by the IDF — the so-called ‘destroyed Mi-17 helicopter’ isn’t a helicopter at all… it’s just a painting on the asphalt. 😂” pic.twitter.com/hk3ECbPtE6

As an aviator you would have to know that, because your other-than-eyeball sensors would tell you that (FLIR, RADAR, etc.). I don’t think any combat aviator would be fooled by such a thing. So who is getting fooled, or is this just psyops from one side OR another??
There are a lot of AI generated images to click on out there. Be a bit wary, folks.
Yes, the claim is verified as accurate based on the IDF’s own released footage and independent visual analyses. The original X post from @Partisan_12
(posted ~08:11 GMT today, March 4, 2026) correctly identifies the video the IDF published claiming a precision airstrike destroyed an Iranian Mi-17 helicopter. Multiple credible sources and frame-by-frame breakdowns confirm it’s not a real aircraft but a 2D anamorphic painted decoy on asphalt/concrete.
Does make one wonder. Hundreds of thousands of dollars and the graffiti isn’t even removed. Just a little more paint and wait to spring the trap again. I thought our technology had advanced enough to know the difference between a real “tank” from one made of canvas and straw bales like in WWII. Same thing only more costly.
And this from a country that sacrificed 1 million men in its war with Iraq. No Zulu Dawn this time. I wonder how many Iranian strike teams got in during Biden?
Too many
