  1. Lets say worst case scenario…some kind of “One Second After” event or just a crippling hack on the grid…

Most everything is dark, except for these bright jewels lit up randomly(military bases).

How long before the native population storms in and takes over these bases?

Literal moths to a flame, most burned up, but not all. And would our troops attack and kill their own people?

Just my thoughts when I saw this plan announced.

    1. I wonder how long it would take soldiers on these bases to leave and go home home to protect their families? I believe it would not take too long once they understand what the government has done to the country.

      1. Thats a good point.
They just take the toys and go home.

  2. Seems to me they know something the general public does not, and TPTB don’t want a country-wide panic or they would tell us the same thing the Euro-weenies are telling their countries (have at least 3 days of food and water, etc).

Interesting timing with all of the riots in Europe and important elections coming up.

  3. yeah. I kind of have been working on this for the last 5 years easy.
lots of water filters and cans. canned food is always a good bet.
inflation being what it is. one thing I wanted was to get a better generator setup . one with electric start. I old and broken for the most part and pulling that thing sucks ! for heat and cooking I have 2 wood stoves and 4-5 cords of firewood ready to burn.
one thing to remember is that cops and troops will protect the paymaster FIRST. then they will go home to protect them. you are kind of down a bit on their list to tell the truth.
so, do not even plan of them protecting you at all. it all up to you.
the problem will be guys with kids. at first they beg you to help them.
later on, they will not ask. they just try to take whatever you have.
you going to need help-friends to stand guard if this does happen.
the have nots will take what little you have or burn you and it out if they can not get it. doesn’t really matter much to a starving mob who wants your stuff. what little you may have will seem like a fortune to them in THEIR MINDS. why else would you protect it ?
I pray it never happens here, but if it does. you best be ready for it.

  4. In my dream last night, my Garand was all I needed to start out with. Then, it wasn’t enough and I had to get my FAL. Don’t remember the details, but I recall a mob was moving up the road.

A guy pulled up to the shop and was looking really, really bad – like radiation exposure. He had a round, silver sphere in a bag on the seat beside him. He died right there. I took the bag and dumped the sphere into the shop sump where it sank into the muck, then dropped a steel plate over the top of the sump.
