My Thoughts

I was reading through the comments and decided to give some thoughts concerning the state of the union.

  1. There is no state of the union. The last description of our country in my mind is “union. As I have written before, the antonym of unity is diversity. And diversity has divided, weakened and is now destroying the Republic.
  2. A corollary to the first point is that getting mad about the situation is not a solution. People write that they are mad or “pissed at” Trump. I am disappointed in Trump but being mad is not a solution for any issue or problem.
  3. Posting content that may be controversial or true on this site should not be considered based on who posted the content on X. As I have stated before, my intent for this site is to provide information which will make the readers think and allow them to make intelligence in order to protect and provide for their family, friends and community.
  4. I remember words of wisdom from Glenn Beck a few years ago. He said that if he receives information which makes him mad, he will not report or remark on it until he cools off. This is great advice because most of our “news” is designed to enrage us against each other.
  5. This may sound bad but we have to grade people based on their actions and words. The grading system for information runs from Source Reliability (A–F)
    Rating
    Meaning

    A
Completely reliable — no doubt of authenticity, trustworthiness, or competency; history of complete reliability
    B
Usually reliable — minor doubt; history of mostly valid information
    C
Fairly reliable — some doubt, but has provided valid information in the past
    D
Not usually reliable — significant doubt; has provided some valid information in the past
    E
Unreliable — lacking authenticity, trustworthiness, or competency; history of invalid information
    F
Reliability cannot be judged — no basis for evaluation
    Information Credibility (1–6)
    Rating
    Meaning

    1
Confirmed by other sources — logical, consistent with other information, independently corroborated
    2
Probably true — logical and consistent, but not confirmed
    3
Possibly true — reasonably logical; agrees with some other information
    4
Doubtful — not confirmed; possible but not logical; little supporting information
    5
Improbable — not logical; contradicted by other information
    6
Truth cannot be judged — no basis for evaluation
    Combined Examples
A1: Completely reliable source + confirmed information (highest)
B2: Usually reliable source + probably true information
C3: Fairly reliable source + possibly true information
F6: Unknown source + information that cannot be judged (common starting point for new or unconfirmed reports)
  6. Based on the above information in point 5, we have to rate information accordingly. People who comment on what they believe instead of what they know, misdirect people away from the content of the article, make personal attacks should be recognized as poor sources of information.

I make it a personal policy to distinguish between what I believe, think and what I know. I do not tell people how to vote; I want people to make their own decisions based on what direction they want to have the country follow. ANYONE who tells me that I have to vote, I have to vote for a certain party or I have to vote straight ticket is diminished in my personal evaluation of their character.

George Washington warned us about political parties. Jefferson warned us about banks and the need to refresh the Tree of Liberty. Sam Adams warned us about greed:

And Thomas Paine warned us about sunshine patriots.

I have lived a 24/7 cycle of doom from 2008 through 2025. I have learned many life skills and prepared for a 4th turning during that timeframe. Recently, I have come to understand that I followed the Lord’s advice and I am not focused on the “doom” anymore.

I am not mad at my countrymen for their apathy: I believe the path is set at this point. I think we had a chance to have a better future without having to endure the evil and destruction that is upon us. I know that we have a path forward after the collapse if only we can become a moral people once again.

  1. I’m at the same place. The people will not become moral in a vacuum. The hard times we will face is what will instill the morals and values in the people. That old saw about weak men and hard times, it’s a continuous cycle. That is the purpose of this earth-life system – a crucible.

    1. Same here. And the hard times we will certainly be facing will separate the moral from the immoral and you will know exactly where you stand.

The cycle of life will play out, and for many, that cycle will be shortened, either by their own actions or someone else’s.

Right now, take care of your own; no one is coming to help you when, not if, the country devolves into chaos.
