    Sigh. This is one of the reasons why years ago we stopped celebrating this Pagan holiday. And it has caught on. There was only one house on our block which received the little goblins. Porch lights were turned off and the street was silent. When I and my friends did this during the 1950’s, people would answer their doors, and we all said thank you. But America was another country in those days.
