Targeted Attack

Appalachian Renegade underwent a targeted attack yesterday. Although three of my sites were unavailable, AR was the only one where the DNS IP addresses were changed and the new owner was listed as AnneLoudan1@gmail.com. The other sites were just attacked without a redirect.

How did this happen? Someone logged into our main account at the ISP which gave them control over basically everything. I asked the tech support employee if it was a security certificate issue and he said that it definitely was not.

I knew it was not a computer issue as I was not able to log into my AR account. So they went in and changed admin passwords for AR after gaining complete access through CPanel. Once the passwords were changed, it took less than five minutes to redirect the DNS address for AR. So this was not a server issue: someone hacked into my ISP’s server and then reset the admin password for AR. Once in, the DNS change which normally takes 24 hours was done instantly.

From our ISP:

We understand that your websites for AppalachianRenegade.com, caddgraphics.com, and NCRenegade.com are currently unavailable. Given the unrecognized login notification and the changes you are reporting, we are treating this matter as a security concern and have escalated it to our Engineering Team for investigation.

Our engineers will review the account activity, DNS configurations, and any changes made to the affected domains to determine what occurred and what steps are needed to restore your websites.

For those who want to say some variation of “you should have done this…”, please do not. We have to understand that there is no security for the Internet at this time.

Times are not spicy or even sporky: we are at war. If you want to debate why, go no further than the warnings across Western nations and Japan to prepare for an event to have food and water for 3 days up to several months.

Maybe the military bases will start letting in people since they will have power, water and food for 90 days. If you believe that, you may also believe Israel is not in control.

  1. Yep, the link took me directly to word press, I tried everything I could to get onto the site. We are at war, we should start acting like it, God Bless you and yours David.

  2. I saw that – did you figure out who the heck is “Anne Loudan”? Some university commie?

  3. I was wondering what happened. Glad you are OK. Frankly it was/is only a matter of time. You publish doubleungoodthink.

Glad you are back. The enemy doesn’t waste his bullets, so I figure you must be important. I would take the hack as a complement that you are on the right track.

    1. I don’t think of myself as important. The Bible warns us about the sin of Pride.

It is surprising how much information that is needed to make intelligence is suppressed without people questioning it.

  5. David, glad you got everything working.

This just means you are over the target, perhaps on a bulls-eye! The info on this site is as up-to-date and relevant as it can possibly be. The warnings and useful tips for all of us must be pissing off the commies and anarchists because they monitor all these sites.

    Keep up the great work!

  6. Over the target indeed. My dad was a B-17 pilot with this group —

    https://447bg.com/

He flew 35 combat missions over Europe. Here are a couple of brief stories as testament to the human spirit and will to survive.

    1) Set up. Just a recollection by a B-17 bombardier riding in the nose over Germany. He happened to spot a flak projectile out in front, on its way up. It slowed, and stopped at its apogee, directly
out in front, then fell away without exploding as they flew over.

    2) A bomb group is on their way back to England when they are attacked by German fighters. The author’s B-17 takes several hits, but no one is injured and they make it back to base. They have flown
several missions in as many days. Group medical officer makes the call and grounds everyone for a few days of R&R. Stuck on base and bored, some aircrew members wander over to help the ground crews with maintenance. Author finds out that they have dug three 20 mm projectiles out of the air frame of his ship that did not explode. Ground crew remarks the the projectiles seem kinda light weight compared to others, so they take them apart. First and second ones are empty, no explosive. Third one has a small folded piece of paper with words written on it. No one can read the language. It’s not until they find someone in intelligence that can read Czech that they find out.

It read, “This is our way of helping you”.
