  1. Yes, you choose the plate. Then the server brings it out and you discover it has a rancid shit sandwich on it, irrespective of which one you ordered. I’m not eating what’s being served, and anyone who thinks they can force feed it to me is going to be wearing it.

    1. Jan 3rd the “selection” will get to work on your plate of “rights”.

  2. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m Voating Harder Than I’ve Ever Voted this November…..

  3. If you believe in free will, consent is everything. If you believe in slavery, force is everything.

It can be argued that *all* human conflict extends from the concept of “free will”. The cost of freedom is not merely eternal vigilance, but also personal responsibility. You are free to jump off a cliff, but there will be a punishment for breaking the “rules of reality”.

Whether its political, medical, financial, or anything else, mandatory/forced/coerced participation is evil.

Emotion should never sit in the driver’s seat of any vehicle, certainly not the political vehicle driving our nation. Be reasoned and reasonable.

This is the wild interpretation of what was said earlier about the value and importance of voting, even when candidates are imperfect, even when there are disagreements worthy of conversation and vigorous debate, even when victories are incremental and there is always the risk of defeat.

Ask yourselves who might want you to withhold your ballot. It’s certainly not anyone who believes in our Constitutional Republic. Think foreign adversaries. Think interests in this country that have sold out to foreign adversaries.

Making a strong argument for voting which includes opinions about what it means when citizens choose not to vote is just that: a strong argument for voting. No one is compelling anyone else to do anything.

I thought you wanted discussion at this forum. If there is total honesty, then maybe not so much.

If you want to talk about the risks of compulsion, let’s talk about Socialism and Communism. Let’s talk about Democrats.

Don’t misread my message. I am not letting a single RINO off the hook. We have plenty to address on the Republican side of the political aisle.

If you choose not to vote, you may be choosing to give up your right to choice. You don’t have to believe me: just go back to the Biden years, and reflect on those for awhile.
