  1. Bwahahahaha. Finally, a politician honest enough to just come right out and say he’s going to buy your vote. I actually kind of admire the ballsiness of such a gambit.

  2. I hope he sends me a check. I can use the money for many different things. I don’t give a flying F*** at a rolling donut, his antics have cost me quite a bit, so anty up Trumpster.

    1. Yeah, and it’s not as if we had squeaky clean, uncompromised elections as it was, so novelist can really complain. I have my principles, but if I knew for sure he was going to throw me five large, I’d be a whore and go cast a vote for the Republicant’s again. I figure their bang up management of the economy has cost me at last that much, so it won’t even a bribe, it’s just squaring up on the shortfall they’ve imposed on me with inflation. An advance auction of stolen goods, indeed.

I agree with you, Big Ruckus D. Every month I’m able to save less and less for any unexpected repair or replacement. I’m way behind in being prepared and need my money returned in this “dividend” to get back on my feet. I’m so disgusted with the antics in Congress and had decided not to waste my time voting on distant federal matters. Now I’ll hold my nose and vote Republican. Gee, how much income tax will I have to pay on my $5k?

  3. He’s going to mail it out right after the epstein files and DOGE refund checks go out.

    1. I knew trumpster was lying, he has bullshitted us again.

      1. Yeah. For clarification, my humorous takes on this matter above should not be construed to mean that I actually think any of us will ever see such a check for $5,000.

  4. IF they print up another 1.2 trillion and send out these checks the inflation will eat up that 5k in less than a year. Then it will cost another 5k next year. Then probably 6k the year after. Your friends in DC only think in the moment. But reality will violate your a$$ till the system collapses. I guess if the system collapses before the inflation recoups the money you come out ahead?

    1. Exactly. Just as the stinky checks during COVID caused inflation (that has never come out back out, thus the compounding nature of the price increases we’re seeing on so many things). This idea is a folly, not only because it’s a bald faced attempt at bribery, but because what little instant economic relief it might impart will be quickly offset by…more inflation, caused by another $1.2 trillion in debt.

And again, I don’t believe for a second that Trump will ever disburse these funds. His announcement is just more verbal diarrhea that will come to nothing. He has a serious problem now, in that too many people have discerned his pattern of behavior of big talk, and no action to back it up.
