If…if…if. So, the financial mavens are once more out in force predicting the mother of all crashes. What else is new? Not one of these geniuses can even give an educated guess when this will happen. The market expands and contracts according to the laws of economics, which British philosopher Thomas Carlyle named “The Dismal Science.” I have been listening and reading these prognostications since the run-up to Y2K.
Yes, we are being eaten alive by inflation. Yes, the SS/Medicare system is bankrupt. Yet, the rusty Ferris Wheel keeps on turning. I and my tribe are prepping for a Deus ex Machina event. To not do so, would be stupid. But I find it annoying these pundits squawk like Chicken Little, and their bottom line is “If”. Bleib ubrig.

    1. As Tom Petty once stated, “the waiting is the hardest part”. Like any giant machine, once in motion, it develops momentum that is not easily overcome by a change in state. But that change in state is coming, nonetheless. I share your frustration at not knowing when the proverbial shoe is going to drop.

But I also know that it is likely to be set off by an exogenous event that, at first glance, doesn’t even appear to have any connection with the resulting chain of events. It’ll likely be something random that spooks enough people simultaneously that the herd panics, and then the game is on.

  2. I’ve listened to many interviews given by Armstrong and he has for many years said 2032 was the year that republics crumble. If he is correct it will be painful as all transitions are, but we will have a chance to build a new structure one designed to avoid corruption and support nationalism. Where work is rewarded and crime is punished severely. Where illegals are deported to their home countries and heritage Americans can regain their national pride. This is not the time to be faint hearted, but to prepare for the battle we know will eventually go from political and cultural to kinetic.
