  1. JM Bullion has a special deal up to 3 one-ounce gold Krugerrands at spot. From yesterday afternoon to this morning price up 85 dollars.

Last 30 days gold has wandered from 4200 down to 4000 and now 4336.

Next 30 days might be interesting as in Ahem Chinese Curse (I know it’s not technically correct, but most understand the reference. A more correct Chinese curse is “May you come to the attention of the Authorities” as even then Gov.com attention wasn’t a good thing).

Gold is a store of wealth. It requires honest people to accept it and trade with you. It cannot without honest trade be eaten nor will it keep your family warm and dry.

But like a fever gold is an excellent way to see how well or badly the US Fiat Dollar is doing.

“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked.

“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

    “What brought it on?”

“Friends,” said Mike. “I had a lot of friends. False friends. Then I had creditors, too. Probably had more creditors than anybody in England.”

Or as Shakespeare and the Bible (Paraphrasing various scriptures) says, “Do not forget, Stay out of debt, think twice and take this good advice from me, Guard On your Integrity”.

So many of my local deals are mostly handshake and reputation. Mostly it works out as well or better than expected to the delight of both sides. It’s almost an invisible economy. Don’t screw folks or word gets around and you’re out of the trade circle.

  2. Unlike our government and the majority of our citizens, the Chinese can see the writing on the wall regarding fiat currency. The Money Magicians can do all their tricks to keep up confidence in our system of fakery and foolery but in the end real property such as gold is the only thing of value. Bessent is using every trick and device he has so the dollar will crash last. We allegedly have 8000+ tons of gold but people who have been keeping track of China for decades figure that the Chinese have more than 20000 tons of gold at this point. This doesn’t include gold held by Chinese citizens. We are well and truly screwed.
