War on Iran: – Another Hold Of Direct Action While The War Proceeds Elsewhere

Trump may now try to reinstate the MoU as it had been agreed six weeks ago. Iran will of course reject such a proposal. It will at least demand that the U.S. fulfills ALL clauses of the MoU down to the letter BEFORE it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

To get out of his current dilemma Trump will have to push Israel out of Lebanon. He will have to remove his forces from the Middle East and will have to pay out Iranian assets.

It is hardly conceivable that he will do any of this.

My current assumption is that Trump, under Israeli influence, will soon try for another military intervention. Only when that fails, as it is likely to do, will he finally be ready to concede defeat.

One response to “War on Iran: – Another Hold Of Direct Action While The War Proceeds Elsewhere”

  1. Yon is very insightful if you can put the time in. Sometimes he is difficult to follow since he has a tendency to go off in several seemingly unrelated tangents while trying to support his point. If he is being interviewed or is part of a panel discussion he is usually cut off before he gets to the end of his story. When he is more straight forward with his bottom line, he is usually right on the money with the biggest variable being exact timing of future events, which no one can be certain of.
I am 50/50 of the likelihood of more Trump escalations. I think the reality of the fuel and munitions situations combined with the lack of results from everything that has been tried thus far has him good and rattled. I’m sure the jooo boys are still telling him to “finish the job”, but they don’t even bother to talk about the bogus Iranian missile attrition math at CENTCOM anymore since those missiles keep hitting critical targets all over the theatre and we can’t stop it.
