  1. Brilliant. Stuff like this needs to happen everywhere. I am [trying to] beat the beast by learning everything I can about my own vehicles. My last repair bill was nearly $1000, and the issues that were of most concern were not fixed. I cannot even tell you how mad and disappointed I was. Oh, stuff was replaced, but the failures continued (starting up and switching to 4WD). I finally replaced the ignition switch myself, and voilà, it starts now… every time. I traced a vacuum leak, repaired it, and now, 4WD fixed and works every time. Short of replacing the motor (shouldn’t have to do that for awhile), I am going to acquire the tools and start maintaining, repairing and even upgrading my vehicle myself. With the thousands of $$$ I DON’T spend on $120/hr shop fees and high-priced rebuilt crap parts, I can improve how she runs, upgrade systems, and actually enjoy my 23 year old truck again. There’s nothing that a shop does that I cannot learn how to do myself.

And, I will never need a hideously overpriced new car that spies on me and watches me while I drive.

  2. Keep it low key and don’t advertise you are doing it. The IRS does consider barter to be income.

Bartering is the exchange of goods or services. A barter exchange is an organization whose members contract with each other (or with the barter exchange) to exchange property or services. The term “barter exchange” doesn’t include arrangements that provide solely for the informal exchange of similar services on a noncommercial basis (for example, a babysitting cooperative run by neighborhood parents). In bartering, usually there’s no exchange of cash. An example of bartering is a plumber exchanging plumbing services for the dental services of a dentist.

  3. Yea how many of those were illegals or mexicans that shouldn’t be here in the first place… I’m guessing most of them so congratulations on wanting something that is degrading your country and taking food out of a White Man’s mouth so he can’t feed himself or his family…You guys probably cheer at the food trucks everywhere as well…Sad That…

PS You know that’s a huge problem with our side who are more concerned about their pocketbook and comfort than they are about the 14 words…
