I agree the 180° change in tone (and overall agenda) has been one of the most pronounced flips I’ve ever witnessed. Even though we’ve come to expect that politicians will bullshit when campaigning – and then fail to deliver on most of what was promised -the delta between the campaign speak and the observable reality of what’s being delivered this time around is so large, that I dare say it could fill a ballroom with a subbasement.
I think he was replaced in 2020 when he went to Walter Reed to be treated for Covid. He wasn’t the same when he came out a couple days later.
Great. So now we have the Stepford President. Maybe we’ll get to see him glitch out.
