A Free Press was hardly worth protecting with wording in the First Amendment as we haven’t had one since the early 1900s at least.
I have said for years that if certain folks (Obama, Hillary, etc) were to murder and consume an infant on the steps of the Capitol, and ONLY the mid-stream media was around to see, NOBODY WOULD EVER KNOW.
What is the point in protecting a “free press” if you haven’t had one since at least 1900?

I have not watched one of ‘their’ TV programs in almost 3 decades.
I know for a fact, I have not watched their news since the first Gulf War, that includes CNN etc.
IMHO they all (including Fox, Newsmax, et al) lie thru their teeth.
Can’t blame them, when you are paid millions to lie, hard to say no an tell the truth, then get fired.
Why do people insist on continuing to call them the “big 3”, considering the amount of viewership and market share they’ve bled out since, say 1985, when they were still at the peak of their relevance?
They barely qualify as the 3 pissants in 2026.
As for Trump’s speech, my response will barely be a yawn, unless and until we see honest to God perp walks and executions. We’ve long since passed the point where further announcements are irrelevant. Either kick ass or STFU.
Exactly what I remarked to my wife last evening. It is all Kabuki Theater unless, at the exact time of Trump’s address, indictments and actual arrests were occurring in real time.
