China Builds Full-Scale Model Of US Destroyer In Remote Desert

Security analysts poring over satellite photos of China have shared a surreal image: There’s a detailed, full-scale replica of a US Navy destroyer in the middle of a remote stretch of Chinese desert.

Thousands of miles from the nearest ocean, the mockup sits amid the sands of a missile-testing range near Ruoqiang in Xinjiang Province. It’s an exceedingly precise replica of a 510-foot-long US Arleigh Burke-class destroyer. That type of vessel is a core workhorse of the US Navy, and is involved in air defense, anti-submarine warfare, surface warfare and attacks on land-targets.

    In all honesty its not surprising, and in fact smart. They can practice attack runs on the ship over and over again, use dummy bombs, etc. Do we not make mock-ups of villages in Afghanistan and run trials through them? Same-same.

    China is a complicated place. They are ruled over by the CCP. Communist totalitarian. But they have a modified capitalist economy with millionaires. The Han Chinese are very ethnocentric. The Chinese are ultra nationalistic. Everything for China. Nothing against China. Sounds more national socialist than commie. What do you guys think?

    The US Navy possesses two types of ships…. ‘surface targets’ and submarines. In any conflict involving China or even Russia–hypersonic anti-ship missiles will rain down upon US ‘surface targets’ –who BTW have zero defense against such weapons. It will be all over for aircraft carrier battle groups in a matter of mere hours. This why why China is building these mock-up targets, it’s to test new weapons specifically designed to penetrate our aging defense systems. It’s very interesting.

    We have wasted all of our defenses and even offenses on the offensive nations of Israel and Ukraine.

    Not a surprising thing. We do the same thing only using computer models. I’m sure the Russians also practice naval attacks in some way.

    They are fine tuning the anti-ship missiles with AI to recognize vessels and hit the most vulnerable spots.
