  1. It’s a very dangerous thing to base one’s beliefs on what Jesus didn’t say.

    1. I agree. I am saying what he didn’t say according to the Bible. Just because he did not address this topic should not be the basis of what would Jesus do? Or the basis of another means to divide us.

And let us not forget…Jesus is the Word that was made flesh, (John Chapter 1), so if its in the Word, (Bible), it ultimately came from HIM.

  2. Male headship domination is a result of the curse. Jesus reversed the curse.

    Genesis 1:27
Verse: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
Significance: This verse emphasizes that both man and woman were created simultaneously in God’s image, highlighting their equal value and dignity.

      WRONG!
Adam and Eve WERE NOT created simultaneously. There is nothing in the verse that you pulled out of context, Genesis 1:27, that says that male and female were created simultaneously.
In fact, a much more detailed and chronological account of the creation of Adam and Eve follows in scripture: THE ENTIRETY OF GENESIS CHAPTER 2.
Adam was created first: “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into HIS nostrils the breath of life, and man became A living soul”. Genesis 2:7
Moving forward from there in Chapter 2, Adam is referred to as “THE MAN” in verses 8, 15, 16, 18, 22; and begins to be called “ADAM” in verses 19, 20, 21, 23 & onward.
Eve, the woman, was an afterthought and was created from one of Adam’s ribs only after no suitable help meet was found for Adam amongst all of the animals. Genesis 2: 19-23. The woman was created by God to be a helper, (help meet), to the man. This was done by God, predating the curse, and had nothing to do with the curse. Note in this passage also, that the word “woman” means “taken out of man”.

If you want to read onto Chapter 3: 1-19 you will see that the serpent approached and deceived the woman…not the man.
Adam’s fall was a result of submitting to and obeying his wife, rather than obeying God: “Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife…” verse 17
I Timothy 2: 11-14 addresses this well: “Let the woman learn in silence WITH ALL SUBJECTION. BUT I SUFFER NOT A WOMAN TO TEACH, NOR TO USURP AUTHORITY OVER THE MAN, BUT TO BE IN SILENCE. FOR ADAM WAS FIRST FORMED, THEN EVE.” (there is that truth about NON-simultaneous man/woman creation again!), “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”

The feminist movement has done a great deal of damage in the church, as it has in all aspects of society. It is of communist origin, communist backing, communist implementation and one of the most effective tools that the left has used to destroy western civilization.
No creature, (created one), man or woman, can find true peace, contentment, or fulfillment without living in the manner, and WITHIN THE ROLE, that OUR CREATOR created us for.

  3. Paul is very explicit on this topic particularly in Timothy and Titus. Paul was an apostle with apostolic authority who was quick to say if he was speaking for the Lord or for himself with his authority (eg I Cor ch 7) . Either way the issue of women in church leadership is clear in 1 Timothy 2:12. and validated by the larger church for 2 millennia. Only the apostasy of our time brings this issue to the fore.

    1. My question to the original post was asking what only Jesus said. As I said above, this is another way to divide us.

      1. In Jesus time there was no contention on the subject of leadership roles for women, or a woman’s role in Jewish society. A woman could not even get a divorce, unless she was a Roman citizen. So in the context Jesus was speaking there was no need to address what was obviously and widely accepted, so long as it did not contradict God’s order. And yes it is another tool of division.

    2. Quartermain’s last sentence I think is the truth. For thousands of years, there was no question. To raise the question was blasphemous. Like much scripture, it needs to be read in the context of its time. Nobody would have even thought of letting a woman speak, let alone preach. Liberalism and feminism are the reason the question is even raised, and if anything, points to the argument the video makes – they have achieved positions of power in our world today precisely because God is punishing us. Hard to argue with, I’ll admit that.

      Exactly!

It is because men represent Jesus, and women represent the church. Headship was given to men as representing Christ in the marriage, and women submit as representing the church submitting to Christ. It is the symbology that is important, and it continues on in the church. The reason there are so many women pastors is that the church is not in submission to Christ Jesus; the church now stands in judgment of God and is in rebellion against Him. Consider how many women now wear head coverings in church as required in Corinthians, and how many men take their hats off in church? We only do what God says to do if we agree with it. The church is a lesbian church; it only cares about other people and not what God thinks. the Bible is the Bible and it stands.

  4. David,

You also said: “Those debates largely come from later New Testament writings (especially Paul’s letters) and post-biblical church tradition.”

Are you somehow discounting the validity or authority of Paul’s contribution to scriptures in his epistles?

I’m not trying to cause division, just seeking understanding of your point.

    Thanks

      1. David,

Wow. I have to admit I’m surprised by your response.

I asked you a legitimate question based on your own statements.
I’m very disappointed you didn’t even attempt to clarify your view.

I expected better from you. We may not agree on everything but I always believed that you were honest and sincere enough to answer legitimate questions.

        1. “Those debates largely come from later New Testament writings (especially Paul’s letters) and post-biblical church tradition.”

Show me where I said that.

            David;
The quote that Rick N is referring to comes from the X post, (you have to read the whole thing), that obviously was posted by someone other than yourself.

          2. I understand. If you look at his comment, he stated that I said it and wanted me to comment on something that I did not say.

I realize that, David, and knew that you would already know the true source of the quote that he falsely attributed to you. I mainly made my comment just above for the benefit of others who had not gone to X and read the entire original post, so that they would know where he dug it up at.

  5. Jesus came to call men and women to a relationship with God, through Him. That is what I understand. A woman’s role is stated best in Proverbs 31. Notice that such a woman helps both her husband, herself, and her family by caring for their home and the resources that uphold it. Her husband works to provide those resources and provide spiritual leadership. The Bible is full of instruction on how a marriage, and the relationship between husband and wife should work. And these roles carry over into society. God warned Adam (and us) after the fall that women would desire to usurp the mans’ role in both the family and society. And now we see the result.
