  1. Admittedly, they probably deserved it. LOL! I kid, we have them here on our country roads 3-abreast sometimes, so annoying.
I’d say I’m surprised, but I’m the guy that’s been saying ‘its all gonna go to shit’ for a few years now. This would be what I meant. And it will get worse! You know where, and you know why. This is the ‘us vs them’ pointy end of the stick.

    1. My wife used to have to deal with aggressive drivers while riding her bike to the point she quit. I used to ride 30 miles/day. I stopped road riding because I was hit twice by aggressive drivers. I ride a motorcycle and have to be very careful due to aggressive cage drivers. Plenty of blame to share since cars, bicycles and motorcycles share the same road, sport – legally.

      1. Thats too bad that she had to give up something she obviously enjoyed, but it may have saved her life in the long run. I like the idea of being able to do a long bike ride in the country, to an extent. What kept me from really getting into it was the obvious risk. An old girlfriend did 3 bike trips to Ireland and then stopped after too many close calls with Irish drivers on blind, narrow roads. I live on a road like that now, and crossing to get mail out of the mailbox is dangerous. I see cyclists going by all the time and they are literally gambling their lives being out there every moment.
The frustration drivers have with cyclists is the seeming attitude many of them have that they will make you share the road at all costs. What I mean is the example of not falling into single file where the road is tight and traffic is heavy, or even a single rider who will not get a little further over to the shoulder when he knows there is a parade of cars stuck behind him who cannot safely pass. Cyclists also routinely ignore red lights, stop signs, one way streets, and people standing in cross-walks and they think no one takes note. When I worked in Boston, It was a long wait in line to get out into the roadway from our parking lot at the end of the day. I would see the same bicycle commuters break all these rules every single day and buzz by tourists at high speed who were legally trying to cross the street in the cross walk. The electric scooter and gay looking unicycle freaks all had these bad habits too. Cyclists also seem to think they qualify as pedestrians and can ride up to and make use of pedestrian cross walks when convenient for them and without dismounting or even bothering to stop and wait for oncoming traffic to stop. The Boston cops ignored it all and only ticketed drivers for infractions. at least one or 2 get killed on bikes in that city every year, and the news makes them out to be saints who were run down by careless drivers.
I hike a lot in the mountains, and it is the same deal up there with the mountain bike people. They think they own the trails and expect you to get out of their way in all circumstances.
I think dedicated cyclists are a cult of sorts. They enforce this ride with an attitude code among themselves and have clear contempt for anyone riding a bike who does not ride in an entitled manner or wear the retarded looking uniform. I am hard pressed to think of another sport, mode of transportation, or form of exercise that has so richly deserved the hatred most of the population has developed toward them.

Amen on that Brother… Sorry roads weren’t built for bicyclist they were built for cars and freight…They make dedicated paths and trails for bikes and they need to stick to them…
