I read Jane’s comment concerning Roth’s posts on Appalachian Renegade and wanted to respond. For some perspective, this is not the first time that Jane has “left” this site. I had to moderate all of her comments in the past but only recently removed that restriction. As most of you should already know, personal attacks in comments are not allowed. Reasoned arguments help us grow, learn and hopefully survive in the future.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I met Roth in 2010. He had graduated from the seminary at that time and pastored his church on his farm on Sunday. While I am a Christian who believes that the Lord will guide us if we ask Him humbly, I also know that God’s ways are not our ways. In other words, we do not dictate terms to God.
Roth is still Pastor Bob to me and you can see a sparkle in his eyes. Have any of you gone out and put your freedom on the line to protest abortion in the manner he has? Have you had the courage to ask a valid question of church doctrine which was not answered and caused him to be defrocked?
There is much misinformation and downright arrogance in our country. I see it here where people attack anyone who does not believe in what they believe. It may be freedom, religion or just intransigence that people are limiting what others can say or do, but we still have the freedom (but not Liberty) to have free speech and freedom of religion.
I may not believe in Pagan gods but I believe the Great Commission does not include abandoning good people. And I believe that God watches over all of us. If He didn’t, what would be the point of wasting souls?
As you see, Roth is a passionate man who will absolutely fight the evil that has overtaken this country. You may cast the first stone but God will still have the last word on Judgment Day. Roth is looking for a few good people to fight evil, what are you looking for?
As for me, I am looking for the return of Jesus Christ. What are you looking forward to?
  1. Agreed. Discourse is where progress happens. Insults and temper tantrums are childish behaviour, a d do nothing and go nowhere.
  2. David,
    I understand and appreciate your stance supporting Roth’s right to express himself about controversial thoughts and perspectives. I agree with that stance.
    But as a longtime reader, I’d like to give you something to consider. Although I find Roth’s writing well written and thought out, and I find some of his content worth reading the entire post, he is not the only one I’d like to hear from.
    It appears that recently you have leaned much more heavily on his content than your own or other contributors. And for that reason alone, I find myself coming here less frequently for information.
    I am one lone voice but probably speak for many. This is your platform and I am respectful of that. But it is out of respect and support for this site that I share my perspective for you to consider.
    Thanks!
    Rick
      1. David,
        I’m sorry to hear about the health issues. Praying for your recovery.
        You are not alone. I believe the stress levels of our current situation are affecting many of us with physical challenges.
        Thanks for responding to my comment. My wife and I run an online ministry website and podcast. I can relate that it’s not easy to keep up with personal and ministry responsibilities even without health challenges!
    1. Good response Rick, agree.
      1. Deu 13: 1,2,3
  3. Dave, I will only address your comment. You had to “moderate” all of my comments “in the past? Supply the list of comments you “ had to moderate” in the past to include dates from NC Renegades till now.
    Then post the racist comments you allowed by your faithful readers.
    for the same time period. Let’s audit how terrible Jane is who came back 3 times to discern the lies within lies in this blog.
    Tell us the name of church Pastor Bob’s church. A man of God has nothing to hide. Right?
    Why did Pastor Bob use the name Roth Harbarb? What is he afraid of? His name stands by his character. I worked for a priest for free full time.
    Name the secret seminary he graduated from.
    Is Pastor Bob’s farm church a 5013c? If you refuse to answer these questions by act of omission I have learned more. I thought a lot of your work at one point.
    Why is Pastor Bob aka Roth Harbard hiding out here? Name your church, your seminary, and where else you have posted.
    I have read your posts, Roth/Bob elsewhere on the web.
    I sought truth but none of you can give it.
    Why are you, Dave, allowing racism to continue on this blog? It inflames people. You call that Christian? Really sad, Dave.
    1. I had to moderate you for two reasons:
      1. You kept adding comments to posts that had no relevance to the content. The links you were adding were to other news stories that you wanted people to read. The proper course of action was to send me an email for me to put and put a h/t for you.
      2. You kept writing comments just like the one above. This site provides information in the hopes that people will do more research on particular topics. This is the best way that I have found to have people come to their own conclusions instead of having them attack authors for stating information for which they do now agree with.
      I don’t have to defend Roth or provide information. His church was two hours from me when I lived in Raleigh but I did attend one of his sermons.
      Here is an old article that people should read:
      https://ncrenegade.com/how-do-i-get-married-without-a-license/
    2. Dear Jane, I will answer your questions concerning me.
      Tell us the name of church Pastor Bob’s church. A man of God has nothing to hide. Right? Hiding nothing. Philadelphia Fellowship. Man of God is likely stretching things. My base understanding is that ‘God’ is the mind of nature and nature the body of ‘God.’ I don’t presume to be what you suggest.
      Why did Pastor Bob use the name Roth Harbarb? The Ro stands for my first name – Robert. Harbard is Norse for graybeard which I have. What is he afraid of? Nothing. Certainly not transparency or your snide ridicule.
      Name the secret seminary he graduated from. No secret. Piedmont Baptist College and Graduate School now known as Carolina University. I graduated with honors with a degree in Bible and received the Award of Excellence, one of only two graduates to be so honored.
      Is Pastor Bob’s farm church a 5013c? Absolutely NOT. Our church was not a State church.
      Why is Pastor Bob aka Roth Harbard hiding out here? If was hiding, it would not be here. I’d keep my head down and my mouth firmly shut. As you can see, I’m doing neither.
      Jane, all you had to do was ask me politely. As you can see I’ll answer even if you asked rudely and not to me personally.
      I suspect that much of the ad hominem garbage that gets spewed on the internet and social media would never be spoken person to person. Anonymity provides protection for rude people which would never be tolerated otherwise.
      1. You are giving her/it way to much credence Brother…
      2. Better to be a “store front preacher” sharing truth than a popular mega church senior pastor teaching things unquestioningly just because a “learned man of letters” said so.
    3. Pattern recognition is not racism. Racism is a term invented by a Communist Jew in order to stop people from critical thinking, such as pattern recognition.
  4. Amen to that Dave, and he is returning and all the signs are staring at us.
    1. Roth aka Pastor Bob, Robert, Harbard?
      Provide church name, address, and phone. Is your bio on the church website?
      I seek nothing but the truth. I am not interested in cleverness. Plain simple truth. Nor do I seek to harm anyone. I seek truth and you hid yourself on this blog quite nicely. You talk through both sides of your mouth about God. Roth side. Pastor Bob side. Who is snide? Who is rude? And who lies?
      1. You know who else wants that info Communist and Government Agents which you are beginning to sound like more and more…I’m sure you know who invented that word racism and you being it to attack others tells me everything I need to know about you…It’s ironic that you keep leaving and coming back like we are supposed to stop what we are doing so you don’t leave but then when we don’t you just can’t stay gone like you are being controlled by someone else who tell you to come back or you are truly a woman and can’t shut up…
        1. Just what are you doing? If there is a Pastor on this blog you do not hide it. If you all knew this Roth fellow was a pastor, you hid it well. Shame.
          1. If you read this blog, you knew Roth was a pastor. It was never a secret.
          2. I told you what I was doing and you replied to me so I know you saw it so for you to ask that question makes me believe there is several of you at that agency that use the name Jane or your brain is on the fritz…
  5. Dave, I have spent the last 12 years day and night trying to discern what is happening to this country. If I made boo boos on your blog , I apologize. Note. I kept coming back.
  6. Everyone is welcome to learn here.
    1. She/It is a subversive not trying to learn but to try and censor or to doxx people might be time for a ban on that IP address…
      1. Oh is that who she is? Thanks for letting me know who I am. Who are you?
        1. Lol I thought you were leaving…So predictable you are…
  7. Dave, I did NOT know Roth Harbard was a pastor using two fake nameson this blog. If he is a pastor he states his true name.
  8. Isnt it amazing how everything now evolves into Religious arguments.
    If you have real issues with organized “Christian”religion and their cult following the Israelis to Armageddon, you are bad.
    If you don’t support the Isrealis with no limits, i.e. ok with killing women and children, you are bad.
    If you are a muslim, you are a terrorist and doubleplus bad. No matter how you live your life.
    If you support Ukraine, you have to hate Russia. And you must never discuss the Nazi element or the fact of that country being the most corrupt in the world.
    If you hate Nazis and support Russia defending their peoples, you are a traitor and commie Russia lover, even thought Russia is more of a Christian nation than the US.
    If you are a good person but have issues with organized religions so that you dont participate in their forums but dont have issues with their freedoms under what used to be the US constitution, thats OK but you are stilled considered not a godly or truly good person so lets call you as neutral. BUT if your issues also are directed at Gods Chosen ones, now you are the baddest of all peoples…..
    There is a background of psyops here pushing narratives to divide and conquer. Diverting attention from other things going on in the background.
    Has anyone noticed that their seems to be a trend here with the group the shall not be named in the center of all of this?
    Now tell me how religion is such a great thing for the world. Its nothing but hate, arguments and endless wars on whose god is kinder and better. And nothing ever gets better, its just a little worse each and every day. Religion will end the world in order for whoever follows what God to get to heaven with their god over the bodies of billions of innocent people.
    What a waste of blood and treasure.
    1. Have you noticed Roth, Pastor Bob Robert has not offered the exact name and address of the church he preaches to include his bio.
      You brought up some good points. What we are experiencing in this blog is a microcosm of the world. Without God in our lives, we can do nothing. Deception abounds all over. Let us pray to the Lord. Religion- what religion? The laws of God are written on the heart of humanity. But humanity wants power over God. Why did a man here need two aliases? And call himself a pastor? Presenting two sides of his soul. And the government is good at dividing us over and over and over. Sad.
      1. what’s YOUR name, “Jane”?
        last name & first name, please.
        address & location, please.
        occupation, please.
        your credentials to offer ANY “opinions” on this site.
        since you don’t supply these either, readers may legitimately question your motives/identity too.
        being known for your voice is certainly brave,
        but it’s also dangerous.
        TPTB have power, and they use it surreptitiously.
        many brave voices are suddenly silenced,
        it happens too often.
      2. “Jane”, you come off sounding like an innocent “Chosenite” looking to destroy somebody, we all see it. Unit 8200? Or just plain old generic Mossad??
    2. IcyR7, we are talking religion, how dare you try and inject reason into the melee./sarc/
      Seriously though, I can’t say that I hate anyone here as I don’t know any of them personally. This is just a conversation among Americans expressing our ideas, feelings, worldviews, etc. What is the First Amendment good for if you don’t use it?
    This whole issue, and apparent long history of issues, with this commenter presents a compelling case for repeal of the 19th Amendment.
  10. There is a book on Amazon titled “Heed the Call: One Man’s Journey from Yahweh to Wotan” by Robert T. Lightner aka Roth Harbard. Working his mind back to his Germanic roots/folks pre- Christianity. history journey.
    The last independent Philadelphia Fellowship I went to was VERY conservative but whatever works for you okay.
    God seemed to explain succinctly enough for me in the old Testament that he wanted a people (soon to be named Israel) to come out from all the other tribal belief systems of gods and worship Him, the one true God. In my research of tribal gods each had their own name for a sun god and then other planets (big stars to them) gods. Wotin, Wodan, Wotan, was just another one of those gods. I suppose if all one had to do in the the evenings but watch the stars, I could see how nature could turn into a god in one’s own imagination. For me and my house we will worship the Creator of nature and the universe. But at the same time I do absolutely believe that those who depended upon that very nature for survival, aka living off the land, have many, many principles to teach us and some tribal governments have much to offer should our civilization once again disappear as we know it.
    1. agreed, worshipping the Creator is higher than following the elemental gods.
    Two of my G- grandpas were declared heretics by the Baptist church in North Carolina and Alabama, respectively, for asking uncomfortable questions the church leaders could not answer. One became a preacher in a poor part of North Alabama because he believed those people were largely ignored by the laity and needed to hear the Word more than anyone else. He died penniless, but wealthy beyond most men’s dreams in the early 1800’s.
    Jane’s inquiry is subtle, but enough to appear similar to the ways that ANTIFA uses to dox people they deem “racist” and “Nazis”. Maybe it is coincidence, maybe it is worse, maybe benign. Folks on these types of discussion boards respect one another’s anonymity. If nobody’s asking you for money, there’s no need to know who they are, where they live, and what their credentials are. You can believe them, or not believe them. Take what you can use and discard the rest.
    1. exactly my point.
      + “Jane” demands disclosure she’s not willing to provide herself.
