There were some comments to the original post which made the self-evident point that the United States was established as a Republic, not a democracy. Democracies devolve into situations where 50.1% of the population which are low IQ morons can win out over 49.9% geniuses. Again, self-evident. But the argument over republic versus democracy is not the point of the video.
Those who actually watch the video will notice that it pertains primarily to England and secondarily to Angloshere in general; and between good king, bad king, and democracy. It’s obvious democracies don’t work and the video attempts to argue that kings along the lines of those existing prior to 1066 were, again arguably, the best form of government because they don’t rule over the people, but for them (and could be de-throned if they failed the people). Examples and reasons are provided in the video. For the open minded, it’s well worth the small investment in time.
Comments were made that we were given ‘a Republic, if we can keep it.’ I suspect the Founders perfectly well knew how difficult that would be, hence Jeffersons admonition about watering the Tree of Liberty from time to time. Well, we failed to ‘water the tree’ and Republics always fail. Always. From the Roman Republic to the Weimar Republic, the same patterns emerge: erosion of civic virtue, consolidation of power, economic instability, and the decay of the rule of law. One can read the details here. We, in America, are finding ourselves at the end stage of our Republic as we’ve checked all the aforementioned boxes. One could convincingly argue our Republic is already gone.
And yes, we were all taught in school how kings are bad and republics and democracies are better. But we were taught a lot of things in school that weren’t necessarily accurate. Kings post Norman invasion of England were generally bad, but before? There’s a reason that kingdoms were the natural norm prior to modernity and that seems to be because they ruled with the consent of the population and before the divine right of kings doctrine emerged.
For those who watch the video, one point will become quite apparent. Kingdoms, with a ‘good king,’ require a homogeneous population; a Folk. The king has no divine right and can be de-throned if he fails the Folk. I leave it to the reader to develop their own opinion on how it might be possible to salvage any form of ‘good’ government in what is known as the United States of America that would truly represent the people.
I’ve always appreciated our Constitutional Republic as the best form of government yet devised, but it failed. On reflection and after studying history, my thinking is evolving. In my most hopeful moments, I envision a good king along the lines outlined in the video, with no divine right, ruling for a folkish population. One race, one culture, one soil. But that’s just a dream …

“Republics always fail. Always.”
Yes, because it is primarily the psychopaths who gravitate to positions of leadership, believing that they–among all persons–have the brain wattage, people skills and wisdom to guide ‘The Great Unwashed’ through life.
The psychopaths, mostly talentless and unable to grasp the physics needed to change a tire, make up for it in hubris. They become, in turn, the Parasite Class, as they produce nothing of true value and latch on like lampreys to We, the People, for everything needed to sustain themselves.
Then, like Hollywood types, they find that they LIKE all the ass-kissing and adoration that is so foolishly heaped upon them and they become the “bestowers of largesse”–which is our own money.
We are required, in turn, to be grateful. As stated above, psychopaths.
I call them “The 545.”

Maybe do a post on what a King would have to be and do for you to follow him…I’ve noticed through the years different people talking about going back to having a King but it always seems like they want to hold that position and usually they get found out for being grifters or just plain degenerates…So would be interesting to see your answer and if you would actually follow someone who is always going to have good and bad traits…
The video pretty clearly outlines what makes a ‘good’ king. One selected by the Folk and subject to removal (no Divine Right of Kings – the Christian doctrine that holds that kings, presidents, prime ministers, potentates, etc. are put in place by God is ridiculous on it’s face simply by observing the evil that’s done by those who cannot be replaced by the people. A loving and just God would not allow such). A ‘good’ king would not send his army to war, he would lead it from the front. He would not withhold his sons from the fray as our politicians do. As the video suggests, he’d have his own personal ‘skin in the game’ and if he lost he’d be removed. A ‘good’ king would always do what’s in the best interest of his people. If he wanted to pass the kingship to his son he would need to pass a healthy thriving kingdom. I hope that makes the point? I don’t know, even if it were possible to return to kings as they existed prior to 1066, if things would be better under a king. I can’t imagine they’d be a lot worse.
Thank you can the response Brother and would just say you have to have a Folk before you can select a King and no one is even willing to do that so I would say a King is just another fantasy that will never become a reality until it is forced on them and then it won’t be a good King but a Tyrannical One…
For me, I know why I missed the mark with regard to civic virtue. I have no one else to blame but myself. I got caught up in life, family obligations. I forgot civic virtue. I thought about what you wrote but I still feel the Republican is failing is because humanity wrestles with character flaws (sin). Lying, cheating, adiltery, stealing, killing, lusting etc. Some people refuse to acknowledge their sins. They gravitate toward power and control. Here we are. 40 trillion in debt and we cannot save ourselves from ourselves. Radical moves are required asap to lessen the suffering we will endure. There is no time left, in my view, to contemplate a perfect society.
Here is what AI stated about failing republics.
Summary
Republics often fail due to a combination of internal and external factors.
Erosion of Civic Virtue
One of the primary reasons for the failure of republics is the decline in civic virtue among citizens. When individuals prioritize personal gain over the common good, the foundational principles of republican governance weaken
.
Consolidation of Power
As power becomes concentrated in the hands of a few, the checks and balances that are essential for a republic’s health deteriorate. This often leads to authoritarianism, undermining democratic processes
.
Economic Instability
Economic challenges, such as inequality and corruption, can destabilize a republic. When citizens feel economically disenfranchised, they may lose faith in the political system, leading to unrest and eventual collapse
I am not convinced that a return to a King’s rule would solve our problems ( at least not an earthly King) . Bad kings always seemed to have followed the good ones as History has shown. But something has to be done and as David pointed out the Federal government is our enemy, although I disagree as to the why. Perhaps a glimmer of hope? : https://elizabethnickson.substack.com/p/whiteboysummer-are-you-ready-for
The Power of Conscience. It’s vital we ask for God’s help to help us develop our moral conscience.
From Bible Hub online. The concept of conscience is a significant theme in the Bible, reflecting the inner sense of right and wrong that guides human behavior. The power of conscience is evident throughout Scripture, where it acts as a moral compass, urging individuals toward righteousness and away from sin.
Biblical Foundation
The term “conscience” is derived from the Greek word “suneidēsis,” which appears in the New Testament. It refers to the inner awareness of moral truth and the capacity to discern ethical conduct. The conscience is portrayed as a God-given faculty that bears witness to the law written on human hearts.
In Romans 2:14-15 , the Apostle Paul explains, “Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them.”
Role in Conviction and Repentance
The conscience plays a crucial role in conviction and repentance. It is through the conscience that individuals become aware of their sinfulness and their need for God’s forgiveness. In John 8:9 , when Jesus confronted the accusers of the adulterous woman, “those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.” Their consciences convicted them of their own sinfulness, leading them to abandon their accusations.
Guidance in Christian Living
For believers, the conscience is an essential guide in living a life that pleases God. Paul emphasizes the importance of maintaining a clear conscience before God and man. In Acts 24:16 , he states, “In this hope, I strive always to maintain a clear conscience before God and man.” A clear conscience is vital for spiritual growth and effective ministry.
The Danger of a Seared Conscience
Scripture warns against the danger of a seared or hardened conscience, which results from persistent sin and rejection of God’s truth. In 1 Timothy 4:1-2 , Paul warns, “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.” A seared conscience becomes desensitized to sin, leading to moral decay and spiritual blindness.
The only way to salvage the American nation is for a divorce in the US. We need a nation of legacy Americans, that means a direct male ancestor in the 1790 Census. Anyone else is a guest and a nation destroyer. Breaking up into smaller states is the only way.
