An even more inescapable digital prison?????
Sorry, not seeing this making MY life any better, safer, my food security any better, my government any less intrusive (likely the exact opposite), etc. I mean good for these folks, but human beings are the real problem at the moment, not my lack of ability to quantum communicate over distance.
Any new technologies like this are not meant for the little people. Maybe a tiny fraction. Once they perfect something powerful its always immediately put to use against us. Sometimes before it’s perfected, making us human guinea-pigs for testing purposes. The Breakaway Society is a real thing.
I spent some time on that New Physics website after you posted the first article from there. I was really excited that maybe I found a new online version of “Omni”, which I devoured every issue as a young man. I was a bit disappointed. Many of their articles are either quite vague (with no supporting evidence) to outright AI slop.
I am not disagreeing but there are major scientific advancements coming that will impact people’s lives in an incredible (and hopefully positive) manner. I would like to see better information on this site for the implications. I just posted another article with an analysis by Grok that puts it in better perspective.
I too had a subscription to OMNI which I suppose dates both of us.
All these new Toys are just another step towards our species extinction.
The drive for these people to play god WILL eventually destroy us one way or another.
And frankly good riddance, we deserve EVERYTHING that’s coming with no opposition and just weak whimpering…
