Education is like the prison system: both are designed to make money. Both hold their “assets” in prison and both have a poor record of success.
State collapse is inevitable when a society’s leaders are insulated from the negative consequences of their bad decisions.

One response to “Teachers Jumped the Shark Decades Ago”
The ONLY REASON this continues is because there remains, even among Republicans, the undying love and worship of the government monopoly schools. Nobody could imagine a fully free market in educational services, or a scenario in which government doesn’t educate, certify, etc the teachers, or one in which the government doesn’t also STEAL FROM EVERY PROPERTY OWNER to subsidize these costs for parents. So many have been indoctrinated by this system that they can no longer objectively look at what a complete and total FAILURE it has been putting education in the hands of the state (or everything else for that matter). Teachers have this power because most of society wants them to, and doesn’t want to stand up for parental responsibility or freedom.
