Musk will merge Tesla with SpaceX. Tesla will pivot from cars to robots. Would the world consider switching from governments to a corporation based on meritocracy?
State collapse is inevitable when a society’s leaders are insulated from the negative consequences of their bad decisions.

you’re still looking for a savior,
some one/some system, to save the world from itself.
you must know only a return to God, individually, and as a nation, can save us.
and you know that ain’t gonna happen either.
perhaps after the destruction, the Remnant will be faithful
I just finished a conversation that started off that evil will succeed if good men do nothing. What if Ayn Rand is correct? Once evil is so prevalent it cannot be overcome, good men leave until it collapses. They form a small community or communities, go on strike and wait. The world’s economy is at the tipping point. Maybe the plan is to collapse the world’s economy and start over.
We must not succumb to evil. Ayn Rand’s characters that “shrugged” all had one thing in common… they recognized the evil, and they all had the ability to continue on in the face of it, until they determined that the current trajectory was no longer sustainable. What they never did was succumb to the evil. They never lost themselves. They all had the strength to survive, and then to rebuild after the fall.
What we know, without a doubt, is that NEARLY all people in positions of great wealth and power seek only one thing, and that is to increase their wealth and power. They desire to be invincible. Elon Musk is only different in that I think he is not inherently evil.
To address your question, would the world consider switching from governments to a corporation based on meritocracy? It’s actually a very good question, but I don’t think the world would consider this, because trust in corporations is no greater than trust in government. We would very likely have to be “forced” into it, which is probably already happening… Real ID, digital money, implantable chips, and now talk of having to provide ID for getting online, etc.
I have an additional, more sinister thought. Most of the people in the world will become “unnecessary” in very short order. TPTB have known this for some time, which is why we were subjected to a life-shortening engineered virus, followed by an even more evil immune-compromising vaccine, all with the intent to kill as many of us as possible, and rendering infertile many more. Couple that with poison in our food, tick-borne diseases, toxins sprayed in our air, and the only conclusion I can come to is that we are scheduled for early termination, with only the most valuable among us to continue to exist (the scientists, researchers, code-writers, and engineers).
So, do we “shrug” and hope that the “elite” self-destruct? Perhaps they will overlook us? Do we fight back? How is that? Nobody reads anymore, and the people who are capable of fighting are certainly not going to read a 1200 page book that essentially describes everything that is happening to us right now, nor would they believe us anyway, as they have bought the lies being peddled as reality… everyone here knows this. What we need is a really, REALLY strong solar flare that knocks out the worldwide grid and levels the playing field. The elites will not survive, the dumb masses will not survive, and only those of us who can manage without electricity, technology and modern communication will have a fighting chance.
I am writing this as I watch the news about the gunman at the White House correspondents dinner. Interesting times indeed.
