I could not understand what was so bad about wanting your country to be great. Now I understand that MAGA is not about patriotism, the American Dream or actually anything. It was just a slogan for the masses to be misled.

I don’t think it was ever a genuine idea to begin with. It was a catch phrase focused grouped into existence by political whores, same as anything else they do that “catches on” and achieves critical mass. Those who bought into it as a real political movement (with Trump at the helm) were fooled, just like so many times before.

The GOP co-opted the Tea Party movement from the beginning. There also was a component supporting Taxed Enough Already. While true, their motives had nothing to do with public virtue. This also applied to the 912 movement.

I thought I was MAGA until Trump kicked me and many others out of the movement for asking about the Epstein files.
Now, I’m more of a “Water The Liberty Tree” kind of fellow.
