Has anyone ventured a guess of what would have happened if Trump hadn’t gotten involved in attacking Iran? If he had brought our military back into the western hemisphere after the first strike that was supposed to take out the primary target of uranium production—or never been involved in the first attack? Doesn’t anyone think that the Strait of Hormuz has always been in Iran’s game plan and that other choke points of transportation (Panama Canal, Suez Canal) could be next? Why blame Trump/America for everything while NATO sat on their hands instead of helping a member nation (USA) and while Israel sat on the bleachers pointing out what is to be done next. I wish Trump had made different decisions but he’s not the only player in this war—declared or not. I’m far from having any military experience or knowledge, but I think Trump should throw down the boxing gloves, turn around and leave those around the global boxing ring to fend for themselves. Sometimes the simplest option is the most effective. Neither Iran nor Israel is battling under the parameters of the Geneva Convention anyway so let the chips fall where they may. And by the way, just where does Iran get their food because from the pictures I’ve seen they sure aren’t growing Victory Gardens.

Until these attacks against Iran started–everyone was making nicey, nice with each other regarding energy flows through that region. Then Trump and Israel threw a massive monkey-wrench into this well oiled (pun intended) machine. You’ll note how Japan has gotten along with Iran all this time–despite the fact that they are died-in-the-wool client state/ally of the USA. Why? Because they keep their noses out of everyone’s else’s business–and they just conduct BUSINESS cash and carry without questioning what’s going on inside their business partner’s country (unlike the USA).

    2. From what I have read recently, the Strait of Hormuz, at least in modern times, has been a duty free passageway unlike the Suez or Panama canals. The last two charge several hundred thousand dollars in transit fees per vessel. So there is that.

I wonder what Iran will give in return for not blowing up and sinking any cargo ships when they do charge a passage fee. If Hormuz has been duty free for all these years, then there must not be any upkeep and maintenance like I imagine is required to keep the other two canals operational.

The Strait was not closed until Trump’s unconstitutional war.
The simplest option is to impeach Trump and bring all our troops home to guard our borders.

    1. The ONLY people who thought Iran was “weeks away from possessing a nuke” were Bibi, Lindsay Graham, everyone with a profit motive, and everyone whose goal is the destruction of the US. Way more folks than Trump need to be impeached. And the Straight was also a free transit waterway that now costs millions per trip.

You’ll also note that Iran has been ‘weeks away’ from getting a nuclear weapon for the last 30 years or so. It’s ridiculous how these fools play the same tropes over and over again–and conservatives (with memory problems) seem to eat it up each time.

        1. As soon as the north pole icebergs are all melted, Iran will have The Bomb.
… and people STILL fall for it. That Charlie Brown cartoon was something.

  3. Tell you what. Let the US, China, India, Pakistan , Israel, Russia, and North Korea give up their nuclear weapons. Tired of hearing Trump violent rhetoric. All of you, give up your nuclear instruments of war.
    Peace!

    1. We’ve been 81 years since the ONLY nukes were used in wartime (in theory). Millions have perished in conventional war. Israel has enough to destroy hundreds of millions, but uses the lie about Iran to con others into doing their bidding.

  4. I am coming to the conclusion that DT is God’s judgement on the US as a nation and especially the heretic Christian’s. To be clear, like Brian Shilhavey, I no longer refer to myself as a Christian because I dont want the stick of Evangelical Christian Zioniam and their heretical goal on me when I eventually meet Jesus. He is my Savior, Lord and King.
