“Robin Sage” Training Exercise (Late March/Early April 2026): A massive U.S. Army Special Forces unconventional warfare exercise is scheduled from March 27 through April 9, 2026, spanning 24 North Carolina counties, including central NC. This training is designed to simulate a realistic environment of political instability and often involves extensive aircraft activity, including helicopters and low-flying planes.
• National Guard Training (449th Combat Aviation Brigade): The NC National Guard’s 1-130th Attack Battalion and 449th Combat Aviation Brigade are located nearby at Army Aviation Flight Facility #1 in Morrisville, leading to frequent training flights over Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
I am hearing planes and helicopters at night.
