I am paying attention.
If people have been telling you this since 1948 (and before) maybe you SHOULD HAVE ALREADY LISTENED.
We must form networks of non violent resistance. The structure of our government is being destroyed. One person cannot act alone. Help me share the wake up call Mr. Liberty. Time is short. Rouse the citizenry.
Non-violence will not work against a government, or a bully, who has demonstrated that it has no compunction against using violence to get what it wants.
Many non-violent people point to Ghandhi as an example of how non-violent protest works. However, look at the times and location he was in. Postwar India. After six years of war the British economy was in tatters and the British people had no more stomach for war. And so, Britian let India go.
Now if Ghandhi was in Germany in 1938, the National Socialists had already demonstrated that they would use violence against their enemies, he wouldn’t have lasted a week.
My history may be a bit simplistic, but there it is…..
Your history is NOT simplistic. FWIW, Ghandi and his ilk were protected by a large coalition of soldiers, primarily WHITE BRITISH TOMMYS, who stopped the Jap armies just short of the India border. Had the Japs succeeded, old Mahatma and his followers would have been used for bayonet practice and then dumped in the Ganges, along with the rest of the human feces.
Unless someone can find the video clip I watched when Netanyahu replied to someone’s question about what he will do with America, this will be viewed as hearsay. On open mic, Netanyahu said use them and toss them away—or words to that effect. It’s been maybe a couple years, but that was an eye-opener for me to see things differently.
