Imagine being in the US Army (or Marines), you’re in a battalion (or MEU) about to invade Iran and someone asks you, what are you fighting for?
To ponder the question you need to push aside thoughts of being hit in the face by an Iranian suicide drone, and the daunting reality that the likelihood of being killed suddenly and despite all of your training by long range projectiles is relatively high.
You’re going into someone else’s country in a war your president started. Everyone in that country hates you. Your enemy has experience fighting invasive military forces, they’re at home, well equipped and well adapted to the terrain. You are the interloper.
So what are you fighting for? How do you answer that question?
“For my president?”
“For Israel?”
“For the subtle interests of the global elite?”
There isn’t a world where you can honestly say you’re fighting for your country or any semblance of freedom. Iran poses no threat to America or its freedom.
You don’t fully understand why your president bombed Iran in the first place. There isn’t even a good delusion of Democracy to invest in back home, it’s all bullshit and you know it’s bullshit.
So what motivates the American soldier to obey, fight and die for something they don’t support or understand?
It’s the same thing that motivates cops to continue policing an obviously broken and corrupt system. It’s habit and comradery.
They do what they’re trained to do and they fight alongside each other because they know each other. They have a team with its own distinct colours and uniform and they have enemies without those colours and uniforms.
They don’t trust their own government but they don’t need to. They’ve trained and suffered together enough to form a bond. So they fight with and for each other because they’re a team, it’s part of the human condition. They don’t need a reason, just a team.
This comradery is how the ruling class manipulates men to continue serving when there’s nothing actually worth fighting for and not even enough lies left to tell.

This will upset some, but the EXACT SAME THING could have been asked about Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Kuwait, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, the Philippines…and even WW1 and WW2 if the TRUTH about the presidential PROVOCATIONS were taken into account.

This is SO true. I cant remember how many times I discussed and my sons did with their fellow warriors whether anyone knew why the fuck we were fighting and getting killed for. Once you are there and the killing starts you understand it all, its you and your buddies against the world. But current military policy isn soldiers have their hands tied behind their back s by rules of engagement created by moron leaders who have never even bee in a fist fight. Sorry you cant shoot the guys shooting at you until you are shot and bleeding out…
But there has been a change, you are now hearing about or seeing ex military now openly training the leftist for war because of what happened to them and their buddies who didn’t come back. The leftist are showing a higher and higher level of military style combined arms tactics. And The so called broken warriors want PAYBACK against .GOV and their corporate masters.
Throughout our history the soldiers didn’t come back from war and start fighting it again here when they came back, but what if they have decided to do it now for FAFO payback to the masters?
As far as the USMC is concerned, they have been the tools of US foreign policy and Wall Street for many, many, years. Read SOLDIERS OF THE SEA by Robert Heinl. Read WAR IS A RACKET by Smedley Butler. Looking back to my VN Army service, you had near mutiny due to forced conscription. And while some of my very unfortunate, unwilling contemporaries were actually drafted into the Corps during, VN; the USMC depends on enlistees.
I will not, under any circumstances, defend the Golden Golem or his minions over this Iran fiasco. The MEU would have been better served on the streets of the Twin Cities, rounding up Somalians and their benefactors. The fact that Trump did not invoke the Insurrection Act and is ignoring the war going on right here speaks volumes about his priorities. He has betrayed his base and America. I personally believe he is a candidate for the 25th Amendment. I would urge all here who are people of Faith, to pray for our young men and women about to be sacrificed for the Israeli Baal.

To end a war declared and started by Iran 47 years ago. It started with an invasion of U.S. sovereign soil and continued with the bombing of the Marine barracks, Khobar towers, weekly “Death to America” sessions et;al.
Yes, we toppled their communist prime minister in 1959 and placed the Shah on the throne. In 1979 they toppled the Shah and placed their own guy.
If that had been the end of it, we probably could had reached an accommodation with the Iranian government and had diplomatic relations with them, but they decided to get all jihad on us.

To riff off the X-files, the truth is out there and it’s not that hard to find. Come to the uncomfortable conclusion your country is evil and has been for a very long time. And for the record, I am not a communist shill. Many members of my family served honorably in wartime and peacetime, some made the ultimate sacrifice. I built warships for 20 years and am ashamed of my part in facilitating our country’s rape, murder and pillage of the world since 1982. I worked on the Ford class design as a tooling engineer for the EMALS in the Navy’s assinine decision to move away from hydraulics. Electromechanical actuators dont work very well in a salt water environment much less when the magic smoke comes out. At least one can move hydraulic doors with portable hydraulic pumps if there is an issue. Paging Gen. Butler, Mr. Butler yes sir, war is a racket.
Leaving the politics aside for a moment, I have a stupid question.
Is the USMC equipped to fight a drone war ?
I don’t think so, not on the Ukraine model anyway. They got rid of Scout Snipers in Recon and replaced them with some kind of drone squads, which manages to be both forward thinking and short-sighted at the same time. I don’t think this concept scales to the level the Iranians are likely to employ against us. We should expect to see FPV suicide drones killing our men as they scramble around trying to dodge them just like the Russians and Ukrainians have been doing all these years. That is on top of everything else they will be throwing our way. As far as I know, drones organic to our ground forces are recon only and if there is a FPV attack drone corps somewhere, I question how many there are and if we even have such drones in any numbers for sustained kinetic combat.

Any Marine/US Army soldier has to know that they’re being sent on a suicide mission to help Trump bury the Epstein files under the sand and rubble of the Middle East. I sure as hell would not fight for that.
