There are thousands of ships in the global oil tanker fleet, by some estimates nearly as many as 9000 (and that excludes sanctions vessels). Just a fraction of these are either waiting to enter the blockaded straits of hormuz, or to leave it.
By contrast, the global LNG fleet is a tiny fraction, and now most of it is stuck inside the Persian Gulf.
According to the WSJ, at least 20 LNG carriers about half the available global fleet – are trapped in the Persian Gulf, with daily freight costs soaring as demand from Asia surges, according to ship brokers. Bloomberg lists the known LNG tankers which are currently transmitting their positions as follows:

Enlighten me please. What has this got to do with the price we pay at the pump here in the states? Have our prices increased because the oil companies know they can get away with it since there’s a war they can point to? Like me, are most people ignorant of world economics and how big business cartels operate? If big oil is losing money because they can’t ship their oil out to the rest of the world, is that any reason why I should cover their losses?
The price of gas and propane should not be impacted in the US. Obviously that is not happening and we will be paying higher prices. Maybe the government will intercede on our behalf. If you believe that, I have a government approved vaccine for you at little to no cost.
Think I’ll pass on that offer but thanks for letting me know my suspicions about gouging us Patriots at the pump is valid.
Yes, the situation is dire. We the People are trapped by the decisions made by numerous administrations including the present one. This is our ‘wake up please Suzie moment’ for all Americans.
“Until Washington renounces the Wolfowitz Doctrine of US hegemony and Israel renounces the Zionist agenda of Greater Israel, no agreement with Washington means anything other than the stupidity of the Russian or Chinese or Iranian government in giving Washington and Israel time to regroup, resupply, and renew the attack.
On Dialogue Works I discuss with Nima the basic fact that the operative foreign policies are Israel’s agenda of Greater Israel and Washington’s agenda of American hegemony.

What is really means is… I believe food production will be adversely affected as LNG is vital to the production of fertilizers. From what I am reading, nearly all fertilizer plants in Europe have been shut down.
What is also crystal clear is that NOBODY in the Pentagon or Whitehouse strategized this war out beforehand–instead they followed the phony intel power-point presentations from Bibi and his crowd.
