I Thought Oman Was Neutral

Update:

From Grok:

This is an Iranian Shahed-136 drone strike on fuel storage tanks at Oman’s Port of Salalah today (March 11, 2026). Video from a nearby ship shows the low-flying drone impacting, triggering a massive fireball and thick black smoke visible for miles.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This may be a false flag attack. It makes no sense for Iran to hit this facility. It may also be a rogue attack by one of Iran’s 31 military provinces that now operate autonomously. As I said earlier, the face of warfare has changed and the cost of a drone can allow massive damage for a small cost.
    Look under comments- this is an old clip. Grok gives the date and damages.
    1. This is what Grok gave me earlier when I asked it to verify the post:
      The post reports an Iranian drone strike on Oman’s Port of Salalah oil storage tanks, showing video footage of at least three tanks ablaze with thick black smoke, amid low initial engagement but rapid spread across OSINT accounts.
      This incident fits into a series of Iranian drone attacks on Omani ports starting March 1, 2026, as part of the escalating 2026 Iran war, where Oman—historically a neutral mediator between Iran and the US—has now been repeatedly targeted, marking a shift in regional dynamics.
      No casualties reported yet, but the strike on a key Arabian Sea hub could disrupt global oil supplies, potentially driving prices up 5-10% short-term based on similar past events like the 2019 Abqaiq attack, per energy market analyses.
  2. Nobody is “neutral”. And why would they NOT strike Oman. They’ve been lobbing missiles and drones at just about everybody else in range.
  3. Whether this WAS Iranian is unknowable for us. Since lots of states including the US, Israel and others have Shahed-136 type clones that you cant tell whose it is. Funny about that isn’t it, we and the Israelis use drones that look JUST like Iranian drones?
    We cloned their models which are a clone of a advanced drone they grabbed years ago that came out of Afghanistan. No one knows why or said WHY that drone went off course into Iran or if it really was offcourse or doing some type of recon and went down due to EW.
