The government’s attack on Anthropic for not agreeing to AI malfaisance by the Pentagon is nothing more than confirmation that our government is not to be trusted.
State collapse is inevitable when a society’s leaders are insulated from the negative consequences of their bad decisions.

GOVERNMENT is the greatest evil ever created by man. The sooner you come to grips with that reality, the sooner all of this will make sense and the clearer the path forward will need to be.
I’ll take it one further…
It is evidence the government needs to be disbanded, destroyed, tried and rebuilt from the ground up.
1776 time boys, its not fixable, none of it.
Why rebuilt?
Okay. A slightly different take. Everyone here knows that I have a significant concern about the CCP, and their use of AI for the same purposes, without the constraints (such as they are) that American AI companies like Anthropic indicate they attempt to employ. For instance, DeepSeek, a CCP model, imposes no such restrictions on the CCP, since they are one and the same.
Do Anthropic’s guardrails protect us, or do they provide an advantage, whether intentional or not, to the CCP? I don’t know. I hate the surveillance that US AI models are capable of at this point… if you think your data were not protected before, it’s exponentially worse now. I use a VPN, but only a fool would think that this offers more than basic protection at this point. Is it better than nothing? Likely, but not from the government.
As David has been doing, I am using the AI models, both Grok and several offline AI models, to learn as much as possible, and to train myself on HOW to interact with AI models in order to extract the information that simple, cursory questions will not accomplish. As anyone who also does this knows, the accuracy, detail, and comprehensiveness of the responses from ALL AI models has jumped from being a glorified search engine to an extremely powerful, and sometimes intimidating set of eyes and ears that collect and categorize every bit of information they come across. In less than six months.
I know I have deviated from the point of the post. Apologies. Let me say this… if you want actual privacy, have your conversations in meatspace, and have your devices as far away from you as possible. ALL OF THEM. This means you and whomever you are speaking with. Turning them off may not help. When I visit someone I want to have an important conversation with, I leave mine at home in a faraday bag. Remember, they use location services (have you disabled this? Really?), they listen, and visually record everything. Do you really know where that information goes? If you knew what the AI spies (and therefore the government) know about you, you’d probably be sick. Not only our own government, but the CCP, who manufactured your phone, your TV, your IoT device, your Dish Network box, and the components that record everything you do in your new car from where you go to what you say.
An no, our government is NOT to be trusted.
Here is an interesting article on AI
