I may have made this point before on a similar post, but say what you want about a Parliamentary system, but when a nation has a serious issue that is NOT being addressed by the current parties (either in power or elected in minority positions, the people STEP UP and simply form another party, get elected, get power, and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!! Just look at Brexit. Just look at AfD in Germany. Just look at all the movements around the world in parliamentary systems that are giving people hope.
Contrast that with the US. The same two WORTHLESS parties have been around, in their current incarnation, since 1860. They were both co-opted by the Progressives in the late 1800s/early 1900s and the lingering cancer has never truly been purged from either. Yes, there are indeed dozens of other political parties in the US. The one holding the mantle of most freedom-loving and principled in my opinion is the Libertarian Party which has been around since 1972. They have certainly had serious internal issues, lost my support after 9-11, and seem to be more focused lately on celebrity than sticking to sound principles, but generally pretty good fundamentals. The Constitution Party as well has run on great principles of freedom and liberty.
That being said, ballot access laws in ALL 50 states, PASSED OF COURSE BY THE DEMS and REPS, work endlessly to KEEP ALL COMPETITION off the ballot in each election. In some cases the barriers work to protect incumbents in primaries, but in all cases, they work to protect the two party/uniparty oligarchy from real competition from other parties. The barriers for the US House race in Georgia are so horrible for instance, that NO third party candidate has been able to qualify to run since 1935!!!! Yes, 94 years. And that person was a socialist, but obviously they no longer need to run as BOTH major parties now embrace their values.
It has been said before and I will say it too. This is NEVER GOING TO BE ALLOWED TO BE FIXED by elections. But it MUST BE FIXED!!! Britain and the rest of Europe are simply the US in 5 years if it isn’t REVERSED and soon.
^^^THIS^^^. I left the Dead Elephant Party years ago and registered as a member of the Constitution Party (referred to by that dual-citizen RINO, Michael Medved as the Constipation Party). However, when I moved to Idaho, I discovered I could only vote for Judges in the Primaries if I retained Constitution Party membership. So, I had to swallow the bile rising in my throat and re-register.
The problem here in Idaho is primary elections are everything. The satanic forces of darkness which never sleep-the Socialist-Abortion-Groomer Party, are forever running Trojan Horse candidates to undermine those of us who want limited government and protection for minors and the unborn.
The good news is it forces people to get off their self-indulgent asses, become informed, and get to the polls to stop Idaho and especially Kootenai County, from becoming another Inslee Land. The battle is ongoing. Fortunately, in my A/O my state rep and senator still have spines. Bleib ubrig.
We all know where this is going so why pretend.
PM Lowe will soon be arrested for hate speech along with his staff and anyone else who has joined him or stands up there. And nothing will be done by the population just like in the US. The brits are already talking about asking us to come save them again. I say Screw them, they made their choice now they can enjoy Islam good and hard.
No more American lives for Europe.
