I believe it entirely possible that a core of megalomaniacs in our Intel & Defense Departments will try their best to link AI to NORAD, thus creating a “Skynet” in reality.
Recall that, in “Terminator,” sixty seconds after Skynet became sentient it launched Armageddon, its first step in ridding itself of the living, carbon-based vermin (that would be us) that polluted its pristine, silicon/titanium-based existence.
The arrogance and hubris of the above agencies cannot be measured except by the metric of Deaths of Innocents (in Millions).
It is these same arrogant bureaucrats who believe that life in a bunker would be preferable to today’s existence among We, the Rabble.
The Georgia Guidestones DID have some PURPOSE, no?
It’s the NPC fools using AI that are making it dangerous. If no one wanted to use it, the whole concept would die out. In Dune it was the rebellion against computers (AI?) that was the reason for creating the Mentats.
