Is that man wearing lipstick or do I need to have my eyes checked? One of the best of many lines in movies is in A Man For All Seasons, when Sir Thomas More states: “…death comes for us all.” That is why even though I enjoy every day, at my age I have already planned for my tribe’s survival should I assume room temperature. I worked as a Hospice Nurse for a number of years and also had the honor of taking full care of my mother and father in their last days. This man says it all and is correct. Those I cared for talked of family, of lost loves and people that slipped away and the ones that stayed and talked about their families and the joy and disappointments and worried about how those left will survive and find peace. If you take the time and effort to realize you are chasing a mirage and an hallucination fostered on you. Pull close to those you trust and love, pull away from those that use and are not loyal. Your circle will be smaller, but, more meaningful.
