‼️US FREIGHT RECESSION is getting worse:
— Global Markets Investor (@GlobalMktObserv) October 5, 2025

Weak consumer spending, housing, and industrial activity continue to hit demand.

Dave,
How do I submit a personal e mail to you, need to e mail you a question Off topic?
Thanks,
Phil
Interesting – I also like to look at the Baltic Exchange Dry Index which is global oceanic shipment.
It shows the spike of 2008 and another one in August 2021 (whereas the Cass shows more like 2023).
The Baltic is not showing a downturn now:

I can’t embed graphics – click on the bottom left of the chart and select ALL to see the entire data range.
My bad. The rate for shipping has dropped . Big difference.
Ocean bulk shipping has dropped off the charts as measured by the Baltic Dry Index. Dropped straight down.
Hello Dave,
I live in N.C. on the outskirts of Hickory, My Wife and I are looking to relocate to the far end of the Western Part of the state, around Murphy, Waynesville, Etc. Could you Recommend a good real estate agency for us to speak with since we don’t know any Realtor in that part of our state, it would be a great help to us since you live or around that area.
Thanks for the Help,
Phil
