Thought Exercise Clarification

Neither I nor David have written what I’m posting in this exercise. It is from an independent source that I will reveal in due time along with a concluding post.

It is a CRITICAL THINKING exercise that I see from the comments some readers failing miserably. Rather than jump in with a knee-jerk reaction based on your preconceived notions, why not try tabula rasa? Tabula rasa is Latin for blank slate. Put all one’s prejudices and preconceived notions on the shelf and instead of reading into the text what you believe it says, let the text speak for itself. Then let it linger in your mind as you consider it before responding.

I must say some of the push-back has been quite good, but others have just been examples of propagandized minds. We can do better.

  1. Who the fuck are you? You publish other people’s work and most of that is nothing but philosophical bullshit with no relevance to the rea, world, but hey you get to mentally masturbate. David posts stuff worth reading, you are just a failure at it.

    1. LOL! Tell us what you’re really thinking.

  2. Are you really serious? We can do better and we are failing miserably? Its the other way around. You suggest i give away my other home and some land i have for the {folk}. The only proagandized mind here is yours. It pisses me off to no end when i read such bilg.

  3. To be clear, Roth did not tell me what his purpose was or that he was going to do this series. I saw what he was doing at his first post because I read the title and I read his request for people to explain why the post way wrong.

Attacking the messenger because you missed the point does not solve anything or let you learn anything. The point was a thought exercise. If you reread the posts knowing this, do you see the purpose?

You may have “failed” OR you can see the posts as they were meant and learn. “No one is coming to help you” does not only apply to fighting the golden hordes. It applies to developing a community, developing security and a legal system, comms, managing supplies (logistics) and assorted other tasks to ensure rebuilding a productive society.

Capitalism and property rights are high level concerns. Have you considered a barter system? Remember Rush Limbaugh’s Pilgrim story on Thanksgiving.

This is why I want roundtable discussions at the PATCON. I want people to understand what they will need to succeed in the future. I want everyone attending the PATCON to leave with questions that will help them prepare their area of operations.

  4. As Jefferson said ” We are not to expect to be transfigured from despotism to liberty on a feather-bed.” Physically, emotionally, intellectually or otherwise.
