   Great propaganda piece. Our greatest generation served on station a lot longer than this in WW2 and under enemy fire much of the time.

      What is the propaganda that you don’t believe is factual or is it factual but being used as propaganda?

      WW2 worship and misconceptions carried close to the heart about that war have served us badly since 1945. That freak deceased Senator from SC even suggested the US should send 1000’s of Marines ashore to die in Iran because we threw away thousands of them on Iwo Jima. The implication is that they exist for this very purpose.
      As to the reports of a lack of food and personal care products, we discussed this at length a week or so ago when similar reports emerged about slim rations on various ships in the Arabian Sea. You were a party to that discussion and failed to make any convincing argument to support your claims that it is all propaganda. It is abundantly clear that the USN is having extreme supply problems in the war zone due to the Iranian missile supremacy and a complete lack of planning for a robust Iranian counter strategy and a long war anyplace in the World. The regional bases where all of these supplies were routed and dispersed in peacetime have each been hit many times over and cannot be protected. The air bridge to fly supplies into the Middle East has also been strained by Trumps scorched Earth political tactics with formerly allied host nations like Spain, who did not embrace this Jew war of his. The unglamorous USN replenishment ships have been reduced to a mere handful by cost cutting priorities in recent decades as well. You can google up the list of those USNS ships and then plug the names into any AIS marine traffic tool as a search to find the most recent locations for the active ones. Most of the hulls I looked up a week ago were sitting in South Korea, Japan, Norfolk, Va. One was underway near Singapore. If these are supporting the war at all it is likely that they are transporting priority material and not class 6. The combination of losing the fleet activity supply bases in the ME, the reduced capacity to move anything by air or sea and replenish at sea, and the “requirement” to keep up appearances of a steel blockade on Iran combine to keep these ships at sea with short rations and no luxuries. It is obvious and logical that this would be the case in these circumstances, and dismissing evidence of it as propaganda suggests you are either willfully ignorant or a propagandist yourself.
      Since you like WW2 nostalgia, I will point out that the Marines on Guadalcanal in 1942-43 were abandoned on the island a few times by the USN in that campaign and had to fight and live on a starvation diet. They did so because the US did not have air or sea dominance around the lower Solomons at the time. You are seeing the same thing here.

   When you consider most who join the Navy or the Air Force do so with the idea of learning a trade, getting money for college or just for: “Three hots and a cot”; I have no sympathy for them. What did they think .mil was about? After enduring Army Basic in 1969, 11B20 AIT, and several weeks of Infantry OCS before I was kicked out, I cannot even wrap my head around some squid complaining about no hot showers.
   Now the upside of this is that it further exposes to more people what a hollow shell .mil has become. And the picture of that draft-dodging blowhard playing golf in the shadow of the Humvee is not only pathetic, but it shows our own Nero fiddling while America burns. November will not end well for the MAGA BOTS and the rest of us. Plan accordingly.

      I’d commented elsewhere that this story demonstrates just how soft the .MIL has gotten. Not so much to bag on those serving, but to point out that it reflects very badly on the generally state of readiness, and combat worthiness of the USMIL. It should scare the hell out of anyone thinking straight, because if (when) the FUSA gets into a real, no holds barred war, we are going to get our asses handed to us.

      Incidents like this just make it all the more obvious what is coming, and yet the scam just keeps on going, as if it will never end. The problem is that in the minds of the NPC’s, it never will, and that complacency is how we got here in the first place.

   what a bunch of assholes. no, these young people did not sign up for a starvation diet due to piss poor planning. the references to a small cup of rice and a tortilla are not hyperbole. the “food” looks like 3rd world PRISON food. the dumb cvnts running this thing should be too ashamed to show face. it is inexcusable.

   nourishing food. to some of you assholes that’s too much to expect. basic hygiene. too much?

   the USMil cannot resupply its ships. let that sink in. then tell me that’s ok.
