Yes, and the only thing that can end the hubris of stupid, arrogant bastards is a massive public ass kicking. Much like the defeat of the schoolyard bully comes from someone else finally beating him in full view of the other students. That’s coming in spades due to the hubris and unjustified self confidence of these fools (Trump and those surrounding him). They’ve gotten high on their own supply, and when that supply runs out they are going to crash harder than a heroin junkie that can’t even score a hit by prostituting themselves anymore.
As far as I’m concerned, it’ll be entirely deserved. It didn’t have to be this way; they could’ve chosen a different course of action at any number of critical decision points. Yet, in virtually every such instance, they (and all those who preceeded them) chose poorly, and the accumulated effects of all those bad decisions are coming due.
