The Consequences Cometh

From Vox Popoli

Further evidence that trying to fight Israel’s war with Iran was the dumbest idea of the Trump administration since the decision to renege on the promise to release the Epstein files.

  1. No shortages in Western Colorado that I’ve seen. Mid price at Krogers are now $3.99/gal.

  2. Seems like doom porn. Gas prices are way down around here (SE Michigan).

No shortage of motor oil either but prices are crazy high, like $10 more for a jug at the auto parts stores than just a few months ago. Interestingly, Home Depot and Menards are selling motor oil for a lot less than the auto parts stores.

  3. I have heard the same on different sites. Oh boy, when the diesel stops, everything stops. Food deliveries, medication deliveries, everything. Folks in this country who are old enough to remember the 70’s with odd and even license plate numbers to fill up and long lines know exactly how difficult this will be.

The information on motor oil seems to be consistent with what was reported about a month ago. If true, very bad news for anyone driving a vehicle. Tough times ahead if even half of this is true.

  4. If I recall correctly during the COVID event that “supply chain issues” rather suddenly showed up.

As in there’s NO Problem, folks, move along (isn’t there a meme about that) and then rumors and empty shelves occurred.

    Meanwhile:

I could go on but I personally asked my dealership about this, and he confirmed that temporary as in one oil change acceptable substitutions has been authorized.

We talked and he suggested that if I had a supply of the correct oils his crew would happily use that instead of the substitute.

Sometimes a wink is louder than a shout.

    For want of a nail.

  5. The gad and diesel in my area(New England)have been crabbing same price last couple of weeks.I stocked up on oil and filters awhile back but still with a quick check see can get more same price.

I can see govt. at all levels wanting to keep people happy and would lie about possible shortages coming soon,so,fill your jugs/barrels,hope for the best while being ready for tougher times.
